The Sun peaks through my white washed curtains to greet me good morning and slathers me in its heat. Lifelessly I roll out of bed ready to start the days work.
Walking downstairs I can hear no one is home, and with a sigh of relief I turn the radio on and start cleaning this dump.
I scrape the heavy grime of the windows and mirrors to reveal a clear view, dust the corners walls polluted with cobwebs, brush the carpet and slowly I reveal the colour red. The toilet smells of piss and cocaine. I febreeze the fuck of the bathroom and pray for the best.
I've nearly finished cleaning the last room when I hear a car pull up outside. Looking through the shiny window, I can see that it is Rachael's car and with that I race down the stairs and step out side to see what she wants.
'What?', I say with a my hands loosely in my pockets whilst leaning against her car.
Today she looks fresh and she smells like strawberry's as if she has washed her hair in a bucket of fruit . She's wearing a polka dot black and white dress with spaghetti straps and black heels. It suits her.
I have to admit I have been feeling a little bit of regret about what I said to her and I can feel her anger radiating of her like nuclear decay. Besides I don't think she's all that bad.
'Listen I'm sorry about what I...'
'So you left your papers at my house and I just wanted to return them', and with that she opens the car door to grab them, but before she can I pull her away and hold her shoulders.
'Listen to me. I feel bad for what I said yesterday and I apologise'
Her bold and innocent eyes bores into mine with so much passion and confusion, that I just want to hold her .... all day long. Eughhhhh! Why am I feeling like this over a stupid girl?
'It's fine, we aren't friends. I don't know you and you don't know me', she replies.
Before I could reply, walking down the path is my brother, Luke and his friend Dean.
'Well, well, well, you never introduced me to your little girlfriend', Luke says whilst running his filthy hands through her hair.
'Don't touch her!' I roar out , while stepping in between them forcing his hand away.
Getting in my face I can smell his foul alcoholic breath.
'Why? Is your bitch too precious for us to see, how much did he pay to sleep with you Dollface?' He says whilst grinning mischievously.
'What did you say?', I shout, and with all my strength I punch him in the jaw.
And suddenly we're at war. punching, hitting, slapping and kicking each other. Tumbling to the ground I punch his already battered and bruised eye. Then he's on top of me. I block a few shots, but he ruthlessly smashes my jaw.
Rachael's screaming her head off, she desperately wants to intervene but is held tightly by Dean. She's kicking and clawing to get out of his strong grasp. I mightily push my brother of me and send him flying. Dean finally releases Rachael and she comes tumbling towards me in desperation and panic. Dean helps Luke up and they walk back to where they came from.
'I'm so sorry are you okay, we need to go to the hospital' She says in angst.
'No. No hospital, I cannot go back there.'
'O-O-Okay, I'm going to take you home and clean you up, we have a first aid kit'.
