I was going on my morning routine jog when I came upon a strange design on the forest ground, I stopped to investigate, my mom always said that I was always a curious and adventurous little girl, she said she hoped I stay that way.
I agreed with her. I knew I was curious, and sometimes I was a little too curious. My mother always told me stories about a man and gods from space, I never knew my father and my mother insisted it stayed that way. I knew she was hiding something from me.
One morning I woke up from a nightmare, my body was freezing and shaking uncontrollably. I went to pull my sheets up further when I noticed my hands were blue, with strange patterns running across them. I did not mention it to her, worried I knew something I wasn't supposed to. I watched as the blue faded slowly from my hands and attempted to go back to sleep. Ever since that night I've had many questions I've been asking myself.
I've seen some pretty interesting things in my life, But this, this was very interesting, it was something I'd never seen before, the patterns were some kind of runic design. I knelt down and traced my fingers along the pattern, I went to pull out my phone to take a picture but was interrupted by a strong wind that rushed through the forest. It stopped after a few seconds, I continued to pull out my phone when a sudden blast knocked me back off of my feet onto the ground. I smacked my back against a rock, knocking the wing out of me. I tried to catch my breath watching as a colorful light blasted right where the strange pattern was. When the light came to a stop, a tall man with long blonde hair and bright blue eyes stood towering over me.
He smiled a warm smile then spoke, his voice rather deep and intimidating, "Hello mortal. I am Thor, Son of Odin. I am going to need you to come with me." I paused and raised an eyebrow, "In what universe do you think I'm gonna just walk away with some stranger who was blasted from the sky?!" I exclaimed, taking a step back.
"I did not expect you would anyway, so that is why I give you no choice, child," his voice deep but calm. "Child?! Excuse me I am twenty years old! I am not a child!." I corrected.
"Ah, but to us you are a child, but never mind that. You're coming with me," He smiled as he picked me up, tossing me over his shoulder. I screamed pounding my fists on his back as he carried me away.
"PUT ME DOWN! I DEMAND YOU RIGHT THIS INSTANT! THIS IS NO WAY TO TREAT A LADY!" I heard him chuckle which infuriated me even more. "YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY?!" I exclaimed.
"Why yes, actually, quite a bit really," he snickered, "You know, I don't know where you came from, or what the heck you are, but where I'm from this would be considered Kidnapping!" I told him, "I suppose it is," he said as he still continued taking me away, not caring. I opened my mouth to fire back at him, but stopped when he stood on the strange pattern he appeared on, he reached his hand out to the right and a hammer suddenly flew into his hand, my eyes widened. he pointed it to the sky and yelled, "Heimdall!"
I looked at him as if he was crazy, a few seconds passed when a sudden beam of light surrounded us, I felt as if I was flying as we were lifted up into the light. I looked around, my eyes sparkled with fascination as I watched the colors pass us as we went up. I was no longer struggling against my capture, I think he said his name was 'Thor'. When we finally came to a stop the light started to disappear, we were no longer in the forest and I was now in a completely different area.
I looked around, taking in my surroundings. I was surrounded by golden walls and a golden floor, it was amazing, so beautiful! Thor placed me on the ground gently and smiled at me warmly, I gave him a weak smile back. "Welcome to Asgard!" his voice boomed, making me jump. "What is this place?" I asked. "Like I said, this is Asgard!" he boomed again, I sighed and smiled at him. I couldn't help it, he was just so cheerful! "What it is you needed me for?" I questioned, "My father, King of Asgard, wishes to speak to you," he answered.
