Unexpected Surprise (Chapter 32)

Loki's POV

"How has Leana been?" Sif asked as we walked through the gardens, the gardens were the only place outside of the palace where I did not need to be supervised, I was with Sif so it wouldn't matter anyway, I know that if I tried anything she would catch me, and it would definitely be painful. "She's been throwing up a lot lately, but other than that she's doing well," I replied, Sif came to a sudden stop, "Is she ill?" She asked. "I checked, she doesn't seem to be ill," Sif walked over to a nearby bench and sat down, she patted the bench for me to sit down. I walked over to her and sat next to her, "When is she usually puking the most?" Sif quizzed.

I gave her a puzzled look, "Usually in the morning when she wakes up, why?" I inquired, Sif raised her eyebrows but tried hiding it, her face serious again, she smiled. "Just wondering," I was confused but didn't bother asking anymore. "Speaking of Leana, where is she?" Sif changed the subject. "She's with my brother, he wanted to test her strength by challenging her to a battle," I told her. Sif's face went pale and she quickly stood to her feet. "Are you all right? You seem troubled," I questioned. "Oh, I'm perfectly fine. I should be getting back now, you should go get some rest, you look awfully tired," she stuttered, I furrowed my brows, "I suppose you're right," I stood up and walked back to my chambers.

That was very odd.

Leana's POV

I yelped as I landed on my back after Thor tripped me. "Give up yet?" Thor smirked as he held Mjolnir up to my chest. I grinned as kicked his knee and swung my legs at his, he fell to his knees and I quickly jumped onto his back. He stood up and tried shaking me off of his back, when I wouldn't let go he reached back and grabbed my arm.

He was about to flip me over him when suddenly we heard someone yell, "That's enough!" We both paused and turned to see Sif standing in the doorway. Thor let me down gently, "Good game," he said as he extended his hand out, I shook it and said the same back. Sif walked over to me and yanked my arm, pulling me back into the castle. "Where are we going?" I grumbled. "To my chambers, I need to speak with you," she replied.

When we finally made it to her chambers she pushed me inside and locked the door behind her. "Sit on the bed," she said, I obeyed and sat down on her bed. Her chambers were not that different from Loki's just a little smaller. Sif walked over to the bed and sat down beside me.

"So, I've heard that you haven't been feeling so good lately," she said, I nodded, "Yeah, I've been throwing up the past few days, who told you?" I wondered. "I was just talking to Loki, he told me you've been throwing up every morning," she said. "Yeah," I looked at my lap.

She stood up and walked into her bathing chambers, a few minutes later she came out with something in her hands, I squinted at the tiny object. She came and stood in front of me and tossed it into my lap. "Here, this might answer why you've been throwing up," she said. I looked at the object, my eyes widened. "A pregnancy test?!" I exclaimed. "That is what you Midgardians use, correct?" she wondered, "Yeah, but why would I need this?!" I questioned. "Well, you are showing signs of early pregnancy," she paused. "You and Loki have, you know-" "Yes," I cut her off, "But still, there is NO way, that I can be pregnant," I protested, Sif gave me a doubtful look. "Well, there's no harm in trying now is there?" she said sweetly.

I sighed and stood up, walking into her bathing chambers, "You know how to use it, right?" she said through the door, "Yep," I replied. "All right, tell me what you get," she said. I did what I had to do with the small test, I washed my hands and left it on the sink. I walked out of the bathroom so see Sif sitting on the bed. "Well?" She said, I gave her a puzzled look, "Are you pregnant or not?" she asked. I chuckled, "I have to wait a bit for the results," I told her, she groaned. We hung out for a while, the test should have the results now. I stood up and walked into the bathroom, I took a deep breath before looking at the results.
