A/N- Alright, so I'm being very slow with current stories but It's the last quarter and I have like two weeks before I have STEM testing, and I'll be doing nothing all Summer if I come home with one more missing assignment. I promise I'll try to do more, but as of now I can't do much seeing as my mental health still isn't great.
READER POV!~
I woke up to my phone ringing. Groaning in light pain and the fatigue of my staying up last night, I reach over and grab my phone to hear my friend's voice.
His name was actually Sean, but so many people call him Jack that eventually I got to mixing the names up frequently when referring to him. He was a hyped up sweetheart constantly, but was afraid of heights, the poor thing.
"Hey, Y/N! Wanna go to the carnival today? It's ooppeennn!~" I heard his energetic voice come from the other end. I felt unmotivated, but just not to worry him.
"Ah...sure. But let me wake up, first. I still have to get changed!" I said with a chuckle, sitting up and brushing my H/C hair out of my eyes, rolling out of bed as I heard his voice from the other end.
"Alright, we'll be there as soon as possible. We'll just let ourselves in!" He said excitedly and hung up knowing that I wouldn't mind.
I had been friends with Mark and Jack for two years, back when I wasn't as good at English since my home language was so complex compared to this one. Mark, I forgot to mention, was much like Jack. Polite, energetic, a huge sweetheart. But he was also close to me, someone I looked up to both literally and figuratively. He was pretty, and honestly, I had developed quite the platonic crush on him.
I really liked the both of their youtube channels. It was Mark's that I watched the most, of course for only a certain reason.
It was Darkiplier. Mark's made up evil counterpart. A manipulator, seductive, deep-voiced and overly formal.
Basically, I was head over heels for a man that didn't exist except for the original.
I decided to snap out of my thinking session and get changed into an outfit (of your choice! Because I love ya'll!~), trying to look presentable as I brushed out my H/L hair, looking into my full body mirror I kept stashed. I stared right back into my E/C eyes, my copycat in the glass imitating my every move. I ran downstairs as soon as I heard the door open, revealing my two best friends.
"Y/N!" Jack said excitedly, both of the taller men taking turns to hug their short friend. I adjusted my long sleeved shirt, a small chuckle escaping my lips. Mark looked at the long sleeves of my outfit, grabbing my arm and giving me a suspicious look. "Y/N! It's gonna be warm out!" He scolded gently, giving me a playfully pouty look that made me giggle despite what I was trying to hide with the sleeves.
"You guys decided to wake me up, so It's payback!" I responded playfully, sticking my tongue out at him. Mark dropped my arm, puffing his cheeks out as he gave up and led us out to the car, letting us settle in before driving towards the carnival.
The carnival was crowded, colorful, filled with life. I've always enjoyed color, because it made things lively, kept things entertaining. I unbuckled my seatbelt, sliding out of the car and pulling the two to the carnival. Mark surprisingly paid for all of our tickets since "They were cheap!"
We entered the carnival like kids, running around and dragging one another to repetitive games. For me, it was the most fun I'd had in months considering...my situation.
I pushed the memory down. This wasn't the time for zoning out five or more times in an hour.
We eventually took a break for snacks and drinks because it was in the middle of the afternoon, and they were wary that it was time for me to take my medication.
I had Bi-Polar, as diagnosed by a human doctor. If I went off of my medication for two long, I would be a danger to others in the midst of a manic episode, especially from more unknown symptoms.
I opened up the small carry around bag I had brought with me, grabbing my water bottle and grabbing the small bottle of medication, Mark lightly supervising me as I took one of them. He was very protective.
Speaking of Mark, he had been acting very strange lately. He seemed to always know what I was thinking, becoming overprotective. Once beautiful laughs had sometimes turned into, may I say, dark chuckles. I was too scared to ask why he had been acting differently. He had also been suggesting the start of a youtube channel recently, though I promised I would eventually. I glanced over at him. He was looking at me.
With an almost evil smirk.
The breath in my throat caught for a split second before I forced a small smile. "Come on," He coaxed gently, standing up next to a waiting Jack. I took his hand to let him help me up, him seeing amused by the nearly flustered expression on my face.
I huffed lightly and obliged, following the two as we wandered around. Even Jack began acting strange, his giggles becoming off in their tone and his composure shifting from energetic to demanding and fast to react.
He left me alone with Mark after he excused himself to go the the bathroom. I had become fidgety, often moving around to do something to ease the discomfort of the anxiety pounding in my chest and making me feel sick to the stomach. He suddenly reached his arm out in front of me, stopping me in my tracks.
"God damnit..." He muttered, running off as I followed him in worry. By the flash of red, I saw that he was having a nosebleed. I helped him put tissues in his nose, his eyes dark. Darker than usual.
What was wrong with my dear Mark?
Mark sighed as he looked down at me, a small, reassuring but obviously fake smile coming to his lips.
"Why would you think there is something wrong with me, Kitten?~"
A/N- LMAO I HOPE YOUR FACE IS RED--
On the side note, hi! I hope you all aren't mad at me :') I'm doing my best to get my shit together, but in the midst of trying to get everything done and managing my social life, everything is tiring. Bye, lovelies!~
