Spells flew across the enclosed, dark space between the large shelves filled with crystal balls. We stayed together as we fought off the curses casted my the masked figures in each corner. Our small circle spun to defend each side. On our final shift I came face to face with my uncle, who kept his wand pointed directly at me, never faltering. Behind him another appeared, waving their mask away. Black curls, black eyes, black dress and pale face. Four features that stuck out to me as I watched my mother reveal herself. Lucius conversation with Harry come to a halt as she lifted her wand, directly at me. "You, you, you..." My wand and hers nervously, shooke in both our hands as our eyes met. Lucius smirked at me, then to my mother. "Ah, yes, Bella I forgot to mention our dearest Hermione returned to us not too long ago. She resembles you in every single way, does she not, it's uncanny." Out of the corner of my eyes I see my friends expressions shifting between each other questioning what's happening.
My uncle catches on as he see Harry's unsure expression. "Hermione, did not tell you Potter? I thought it might be important to know that your best witch is a daughter of your most despised families." I feel the eyes of the others fall onto, looking for answers. Keeping my wand up pointed at my mother and uncle, I allow my head to fall. "It's true." Ron hisses and Harry backs away slightly. "It doesn't change anything, I swear." With my focus to my friends and their attention on me, the deatheaters take their chance at the prophecy. Thankfully, we all remember we're in a fight and begin to cast our defensive spells. As we fight, and make a run for it we fall through a door with into nowhere. Until we reach a inch from the ground where we pause then land, all making a run for the exit. Before we can reach one, we end up attacked and captured by a deatheater.
Lucius walked up to Harry chuckling as we all struggled to get free. As I tried to pull away I saw a black curl that wasn't mine, and realized who'd snatched me up. My head tilted slightly as I came face-to-face with my mother. My body went stiff as I saw the tears in her eyes. Her hand runs down my cheek and the tears begin to fall. "My little confused snakeling." Her voice is a hushed whisper, only meant for me to hear. "Why do you put me in this postion?" I begin to shake at her question. She couldn't be comtemplating her actions. "You can't kill me. I'm your daughter." Her mind seems to register my thoughts as she hushes me. "You have decided to fight agianst who you are? How can I claim you now?"
I panick as I hear neville call out "Don't give it to him, Harry." My attention my from insane mother back to Harry as he hands over the crystal ball. A dash of light appears and Sirius along with the other members of them order appear. The deatheaters apparate from the others, while my mother pulls me away from the fight. I struggle to escape from her grasp, as everyone is busy with the battle to notice. "Don't fight it, snakeling." I cry out a bit as she tugs my hair, to pull me along. As she drags me away I see Lucius drop the prophecyvand it breaks. Mother seems to have noticed it too becuase she screams out a large no in the distain. She releases me as she goes to join the fight. I run to join the others only to be hit by a stunning spell on the way. I was surprised to see that it wasn't one of the deatheaters, but Ron who spelled me from behind the rocks.
The members of the Order are too busy to notice his actions, but none of our mates from Hogwarts move to stop him. Luna seems unsure of who's side to take as Neville shares a expression of disgust as he looks at me on the ground. I realize that I returning with them might not be the best idea. I feel someone pull me off the ground as Harry begins to cry out. Sirius was hit by the killing curse and fell into the gateway. As the Order and the rest of the Hogwarts students rushed to Harry's side, I was pulled away by from the scene by my mother. She covered my screams as we, along we the rest of the deatheaters apparated away. Not before Ron and Neville could send me two more wicked glares first.
-------------------------
I woke up in a large bedroom. snuggled with a red blacket. As my memories came back to me I began to panic, quickly removing myself from the bed and running out of the room to see where I was. Running down the staircase and into a large living room, I see five deatheaters, none that I recognized. They did not notice me as I slowly snuck my way past them when their backs were turnt. I made it into a kitchen, that was being tended to my three house elves. One them saw me and smiled largerly. "Young master, is awake. Gilzy will alert the Master." Before she could, I grabbed her shoulders. "Where am I?" She smiled again. "Lestrange Manor, young master. Master, brought yous here. Told Gilzy to tell hers whens yous wake."I have got to get out of here. Gilzy snapped her fingers and vanished, presumably to tell Bellatrix i'm awake. I spun around and rushed out of the kitchen and right into someone. His hands fell to my shoulders as he moved away from me. He was a deatheater, dressed in black robes and with a evil smile on his face. "Sleeping beauty finally awakes." I huff, dusting myself off, glaring at him. "Keep your disgusting hands off me." His smile shifted into a scowl. He grabbed me by my chin, forcing me to look upon his hideous face. "Watch who you are addressing with that sharp tongue of yours." Using my free hands, I checked myself for my wand, but was unsucessful in locating it. He pulled on my chin harder. "Not so confident without your precious wand to defend, yourself are you little princess."
His eyes fall over my entire body then back to my face. "Not much here to work with, but i'm sure you'd be a good shag." I felt the color fall from my face as he moved his face closer to mine. I squeezed my eyes shut as his tongue ran across my left cheek. Once he returned away from my face, I opened my eyes. His eyes were black with lust and his grin was wider. I was frozen in my stance, unsure of how to fight him off. He was intent on taking me and I could do nothing to stop his preverted mind. "Get your filthy paws off my daughter! Crucio!" He feel to floor, screaming in agony and I watched as my mother stepped from behind me and cursed him. "You dare to disrespect me, while our Lord is right below us." As if on cue, screams of someone being tortured downstairs, echos through the room. "I'll see to it that you never think about doubting my fury again."
A knife appears in her hands from thin air and kneel to where the deatheater is scambled on the ground. He's paralyzed from a spell and able to resist her actions. She grabs his tongue, slicing it off as he cries out and the others deatheaters watch. He then bleeds out on the ground and is removed by the others. She hands the tongue to an elf beside her and wipes her bloody hands off on her dress. I begin to shake as she turns to me, smiling. She kneels to my level and runs her fingers through my hair. "Never allow another to touch you like that again. Your purity is to remain until you are wed. No one else my have you." Realizing she meant those pureblood arranged marriages, I only nodded., still confused my what just happened. She'd rescued me, and killed another deatheater for hurting me. "Don't be afraid, snakeling. No one will hurt you again."
Bellatrix stood up straight as I remained silent and unmoved by her actions. "I know this is all very confusing, but you will adapt." I was bewildered by that statement. "You can't keep me here." Her face grew dark. "You will not talk back. This is not up for discussion. Until I say so, you are to remain in this house." She must be insane to think I will follow her instructions. "I have parents. I have to go return to Hogwarts." She smirked. "Your uncle told me everything. About the muggles, your friendship with that filthy halfblood and blood traitor. About how you attempted to disown your own family." Her friendlessness was gone and all I saw was anger. "About how you are unshamed to have me as a mother."
She smiled again to my surprise. "But we will fix all of that in due time." She intended to turn me evil. "Starting with those muggles who stole you away from me." Her innocent smile went into wicked grinning, and I knew she was planning on killing them. I shook my head. "You can't kill them. They took good care of me when you left. You should be thanking them." Bellatrix was still unconvinced. "If you kill them I will never forgive you. I will never see you as my mother if you kill them." Her smile faltered. "You'd chose them over me." I shrugged my shoulders and answered her honestly. "I don't know you enough to hate you, but if you kill them, I will hate you." She began to pace, comtemplating her next move. I thought this as my chance to compromise. She wasn't willing to allow me to live this house because she thought I'd never return. She wasn't willing to allow the Grangers to live because she feared losing me again. I could fix this, or at least twik it.
"If you promise not to hurt the muggles, I will stay here." She faced me. "Willingly." She smiled and agreed. "Also I would like to return to Hogwarts and in return I swear to return in the summer. Draco is there to ensure my arrival. " She was still unsure, but agreed non the less. And there were my ours terms. All these changes were happening so quick but I knew, that if I wanted to survive I had to adapt. If my mother could play nice, I would give myself I chance to get to know her. I wouldn't make the same mistake of rejecting my family twice.
