"Do it. Do it now!" My wand aimed for the muggle's body as they plead for their lives and my mother called for me to that it. I was ready to cast the spell, physically, but mentally, the words could not form. "Kill the piece of filth!" I glared over to her and tossed my wand down. "You do it, since you are keened on seeing an innocent die." She scowled at me and I returned the expression back to her. She nodded her head, smirking. "Avada Kedavra" The green zipped from her wand to the yelling muggle as he was one last breath before hitting the ground. My mother pointed the wand in my direction. "Crucio!"

I fell to my knees, screaming. She held her wand on me for a good three minutes as I cried out for her stop. This wasn't the first time she'd done this, more like the tenth. Everytime I refused her orders, this was my punishment. Apparently, she tried to get me to learn the easy way last summer to no success. So this year it was full on tough love until I followed orders without question. "Are you ready to try again?" She simply walked over to the next muggle she'd captured three nights before. "Kill her!" I looked over to the girl. She couldn't be any older than thirteen. She shook her head, pleading for mercy. I could barely move from the cold, gray floor. "It's a quick death, Hermione. You'd be spearing her days worth of torture. Think of it as a mercy killing."  Draco's advise ran through my head from earlier on in the summer when we discussed how I should handle my first killing spell. Over my shoulder, I could see Voldemort watching in amusement at my failure.

I rose from the floor, still shaky in the knees, looking at the sad tween then to my mother. "I could always make the girl kill herself and make you watch." My eyes widen as she rose her wand. "Imperio" The muggle went mid air as she struggled to gain control of her body. I saw as my mother sent her backward, causing the girl's body to fly forward away from the wall. Bellatrix was going to small her small body into the wall. The poor girl would break so many bones, she'd be in so much pain. Just as the muggle went flying back towards the wall, my arm lifted and the words fell from my mouth. "Avada Kedavra!"

That was it. The green lightning shot from my wand and to the girl. I watched as the life fell from her eyes, just as her body crashed into the wall, falling to the ground. My mother turned to me, grinning evily. I kept the tears back that were threating to fall. Turning to Voldemort, I gave him a cruel glare which he responded with a smirk, as usual. He enjoyed seeing me in pain. This is what he wanted. As punishment for me helping Harry as these years, this is how he would punish me. He'd watch in amusement as he drove me to insanity and sadness. I'd be stuck under his tyranny for the rest of my life. he didn't keep me alive for Bellatrix's happiness. He kept me alive for his entertainment.
---------------
Several nights later I decided to confront him. I refused to become his plaything. Ignoring Nagini as she came towards me, I stormed into his study, to find him and Bellatrix snogging. "Oh my merlin! Your sleeping together!" Voldemort and Bellatrix's eyes lit up with anger. "Hermione, how dare you barge in here without so much as a knock!"  She rose her wand to crucio me, but Voldemort stopped her, lowing it down. "Perhapsss, it'sss time we tell her, Bella. Sssshe'll find out the truth sssoon enough. Thisss way ssshe'll have time to proccesss." What the hell was there to process? My mother was sleeping with the the big bad dark lord. Who right about now, didn't seem so big and bad. Bellatrix nodded and walked forward, putting her hands on my shoulders. "Hermione, it's time we talk about your Father."

My eyes went from hers to his, back and forth as my quick mind put it together. Why I was a parselmouth without even learning the language. Why my eyes went red at random moments of anger or distress. Why Ministry of Magic and The Order kidnapped me at birth. Why he didn't kill me when he had the chance. "I'm his daughter." Bellatrix smiled, impressed by how quick I caught on. "I'm tyour daughter." My eyes went to him, but he stared at me emtionless. "And you all knew this entire time. Why I am always the last one to figure these things out?" I shook her hands off my shoulders away from them. "No wonder Dumbledore put me with muggles. He wanted to cleanse me of the you!" Voldemort wasted no time gliding over to me and gribbing the sides off my face, lifting me from the ground. "Be happy that my blood runs through your veins, otherwise I would've ordered your death years ago. You ungrateful twit." he tossed me the ground, and held back my mother as she ran over to help me.

"By putting you with those muggles Dumbledor tainted every hope I had for you. When your mother gave birth to you, I pictured us ruling together. I wantedto teach you everything I knew about magic dark and light alike. You were suppose to be my legacy. A witch with the beauty and brains of my beloved Bella, mixed with the power of the greatest wizard to ever exist." I snorted as I picked myself up off the ground. "Hopes! Legacy! You like to watch me torture innocent humans for your pleasure! You enjoy watching me as your beloved Bella snuffs the light out of my eyes! Is that how you treat your beloved child? I feel more like an unwanted accident than a long awaited princess!" Tears start to fall out of my eyes, no matter how bad I try to hold them in. I didn't want him to see in such a weak state. He'd enjoy seeing me crumble.

Bellatrix glances to him with pleading eyes. He releases her and she consoles me as my knees give in. He sighs, turning away from us to face the ficeplace. I don't even bother to fight off Bellatrix, I allow myself to settle into her embrace. I recieved the feeling I pinned over since returning to her. The feeling of a mother's love for her child. As she ran her fingers through my hair, I calmed down, gently pulling away. She let her hands fall to her side, with a sad look  on her face. I smiled at her to assure her I was alright. Accepting my smile, she guided me from the ground and to Voldemort's side. He turned back around, staring at me. "I do not smile because I enjoy to see you in pain. I smile because I enjoy to see you learning our ways. If you had been raised by your mother and I, this wouldn't be a painful experience. In fact, I think you would've enjoyed learning how to the unforgivable curses." I shake my head.
"Well, you didn't raise me. I don't enjoy killing muggles like you do. I don't depise them like you do. I have my own thoughts and opinions. You want me to learn your ways - fine. But there are other ways, to teach me, than attempting to destroy all humanity left within me."

He is silent for a moment, then nods. "I will honor your choice. As long as you honor mine. You will learn our ways, but you will learn them your way. I can agree to such a deplomatic response." I blinked a few time, surprised that he took my feelings into consideration. "Thank you, M'Lord." The words sounded strange coming out of my mouth. "Father. From on, you will address me as Father." I didn't know what to say at that point so I just nodded. "It's been a long night, I shall return to Riddle Mansion." He kissed my mother once more, looked over to me before taking a breath, stepping into my direction and kissing my head. Within a second he apparated out of the room. Bellatrix glanced at me curiously, and I smiled. She happily embraced me as we walked out of the study to eat dinner.
