Annabeth's POV

"Hey."

I peeked my head out from behind my locker door. Percy was there, smiling at me and wiggling his eyebrows.

"Hey." I laughed. "Someone seems happy. What's up?" I asked.

"I don't know. I guess, seeing you, just makes me happy." He said.

"Aww." I put a hand on my chest. "I'm happy to see you too seaweed brain." I said.

We both laughed.

Ever since Wednesday, when I cried at Percy's house—I know, weird way to think of it—Percy and I had become closer. But not romantically closer. We were like best friends. Just a guy and a girl, proving that two people of opposing genders can be friends without developing feelings.

That's right. You don't like him. No feelings being developed here. Aaaaaaand there is my conscience right on time!

Percy and I walked down the hall to math. I was still getting glares from a few girls but I shrugged it off. I didn't care what they thought.

"Hey guys!" Reyna was suddenly behind us, putting her arms around Percy and I's shoulders.

"Hey Reyna." I replied.

"'Sup." Percy said.

"Annabeth you excited to hang today?" Today was Monday, the day Reyna and I had planned to hang out after school.

"Yup." I said with a smile.

"Since when?" Percy asked with furrowed eyebrows.

"Uh, since I met the amazing Annabeth." Reyna said like it was obvious.

"And since you introduced me to Reyna the badass." I said, just like Reyna did.

We all laughed. Percy just nodded like I see your point.

Reyna was in math with us. We all walked into the classroom. I took the seat to the far right toward the window. Percy sat in the desk next to me, and Reyna next to Percy.

Mr. Manuellie was done teaching, but there were still fifteen minutes of the period left. He allowed us some free time. Everyone started talking, so I took out my phone and earbuds. I put the earbuds in and put on 'Satisfied' from Hamilton. Yes, I am a Hamilfan.

Everyone's voices filled the room, and the song was so catchy, I began to sing under my breath. Then I got a bit louder and I began to snap my fingers to the song.

"My name is Angelica Schuyler.
Alexander Hamilton.
Where's your family from?
Unimportant. There's a million things I haven't done. Just you wait. Just you wait.
So, so, so, so this what it feels like to match wits..."

I began to full on rap to the song. I was getting carried away with the tune. I had heard the song a million times so I knew every lyric.

"From your sister, who is always by your side."

It was the final chorus of the song. The high note was coming up. It felt like I wasn't the only one snapping to the beat. It was the faintest sound of an entire group clapping along.

"To your union!" I sang.

"And the hope that you provide. May you always" I held the last note out.

"Be satisfied.
And I know,
She'll be happy as his bride.
And I know,
He will never be satisfied
I will never be satisfied."

I finished the song. I took out my earbuds and everyone was clapping. I turned and everyone beamed at me. Especially Percy.

I was stunned. The entire class just heard me sing.

No one ever heard me sing. Expect for Piper. I only sang when I was at home, in my room, where no one could hear me.

Now everyone has just heard me sing. And they liked it.

"Thanks." I said with a sheepish smile.

The clapping died down and everyone was back to normal.

"That," Mr. Manuellie began. "Was very good, Annabeth. Are you performing in the talent show this Thursday?" He asked.

"Oh well... not at the moment. I haven't thought about it."

"Well. Personally, I think you should participate. I think you'd do a wonderful job."

"Thank you, Mr. Manuellie. I'll consider it."

He gave me a warm smile.

Suddenly, the bell rang and it was time for lunch. Everyone filed out of the classroom, a few saying "That was awesome." Or "You have an amazing voice."

I said thanks to each complement I received. People can be really nice.

I'm just hoping I don't go viral.

Wow! Annabeth can sing?! Totally didn't see that coming! Btw Hamilton is great. Would recommend. Anyways, I knew before I read any fanfic that I would make Annabeth a good singer, because I like to and can sing. (I don't mean to sound conceited or anything.) but yeah. Hope you guys liked it. =)
