Chapter 6

          

Shravan and Suman sat exactly at the same spot in the clinic .

"we should have done the groceries first it's taking so long"she said looking at her watch

"If you bought milk or yogurt it would have rot in the trunk especially with this heat " He had a point she thought and watched him holding Aarav straight facing him

"You need to support his head" she said concernedly

"He likes it ,look at how tiny he is . Man! his arms and legs are so small "Shravan was amazed,

Suman just smiled seeing her nephew trying to communicate through gurgling "Ya compare to you he's like an ant "she laughed and he just rolled his eyes knowing she was exaggerating and teasing him "You can literally hold him in your  palm" she encouraged

"Let's try"

Suddenly Dr .Polson called them in as they sat across him .Shravan was smiling with confidence as she looked a little tensed

"Congratulations Mr. Malhotra "Suman and Shravan looked on confused

"You are not the father"Dr.Polson announced

Shravan gave her a smug look and a confident smile "I told you" He was waiting to say this to her , he was  feeling a sense of triumph .

Suman somewhere was really glad he wasn't the father! She was starting to like him and it would have been really weird if he was the father. They sat in the car as she looked up at him

"I'm really sorry Shravan I made you do all this, such a waste of time. I should have taken your word for it"

"Next time learn to trust me like I trusted you when you said your not Aarav's mother .Anyways I'm just glad I'm not in your bad books!"

"You were never in my bad book, I was starting to trust your words since yesterday but now I'm happy and satisfied it's not you!"

"Why is that?"

"because if you were the father I would have definitely taught you a lesson!"she warned

"Well I'm not! So case closed!"

"I guess I have to continue my hunt!" She took a frustrating sigh

"But you trust me now right?"

She grinned sweetly nodding "I do" after everything he did, there was no way she could not trust him .He looked like an honest person and worked with good ethics.

They went to the grocery store as Suman was pushing the shopping cart and looking at the flyer. Shravan was holding Aarav' in his arm walking by her side .

"Yes! they have baby diapers on special ! Let's go before there all out!" she put some in her shopping cart

" 2 per customer only" he read the notice written so small on the page

"Are you serious? Argh! there so annoying"

"I'll buy two from my side" he put the diaper bags in the cart

"Really ?" her eyes gleamed at him

"Of course from what I saw in my office you should definitely have more in stock " he teased

"Thanks !"

They went through every section as she picked up her groceries.

"Ok banana's check , milk, bread strawberries ,orange juice , snack bars , chips ..." she went on before he spoke
