The Group walked on, day after day, following what trail they could fine. After some time though, their spirits began to dampen. They began to loose hope that they would never find their enemy. Lizzy's wound was not doning any better, it became more painful with each passing day. She nevr complained, she didn't want the dwarfs and elves to think she was weak.
It rained as they walked, no songs were sung, and no jokes were made. Diasy and Lizzy looked over at each other, they both smiled knowing away to have some fun. "Hey Bilbo! do you still hate it when the knifes are blunt?" "or when the forks are bent?" Daisy yelled, Fili and Bofur smiled at them knowing what they were thinking. The four began to sing
"Blunt the knives and bend the forks!
Smash the bottles and burn the corks!
Chip the glasses and crack the plates!
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates"
Everyone laughed and joined in
"Cut the cloth and trail the fat!
Leave the bones on the bedroom mat!
Pour the milk on the pantry floor!
Splash the wine on every door!
Dump the crocks in a boiling bowl;
Pound them up with a thumping pole;
And when you've finished, if they are whole,
Send them down the hall to roll!
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates!"
Once the song was over everyone laughed, although Bilbo wasn't that happy. "How did you lassies know that song?" Balin asked "It was in the book, it's Lizzy's favorite" Daisy explained. "Hey Ori!" The dwarf looked over at the tall blond girl "When you were captured by the woodland elves, is it true that you said you were never going to get to the mountain?" Ori slightly blushed, but nodded. "Told you!" Lizzy shouted at Jamie, Jamie simply rolled her eyes. "So girls, have you ever been on any other adventures?" Thorin asked, Lizzy smirked over at Daisy, who smirked back. "Oh no, their reading each others minds again" Bofur warned, Lizzy jumped ontop of a tree that had fallen over. "Gone on any adventures? Why I've lead legions into battles" Daisy jumped up beside her " and I was once the worlds greatest assain". "Do you know how many kingdoms I have ruled!" exclaimed Lizzy, "None" Jamie said as everyone laughed. "yes well, we wouldn't have been able to do it, with out the great Jamie Rosch! Greatest wizard that has ever lived!" Lizzy exclaimed throwing her hands in the air for dramartic effect. "Mm, I could argue with that" Gandalf said as everyone laughed, "where do you girls get these ideas?" Fili asked. "A normal person, only lives one life, but a reader, lives over a thousand" Lizzy replied with a smile as they moved on.
"Lizzy" she turned to see Legolas. "Yes?" "Your wound is getting worse, I can tell. Please let me have a look, I can heal it" he pleaded. She shook her head, "I am perfectly fine Legolas" but she could feel it. The pain spreading through out her body, the feeling of all heat leaving her, as if she was made of ice. "Well then let's talk about the fact your turning 18 in over a week" "why is that important?" Lizzy asked. "You've become more alert, like an elf, your hearing has become more like an elf's, you have become more balanced and elegant, like an elf, not to mention your pointy ears!" he flicked her ears as he said this. "when I turn 18, what powers am I supposed to get? if I'm the elf princess" "well the magic, elves have the ability to use. I can teach you to use it" he offered. Lizzy nodded her thanks, "wait does this mean all the other elves can hear our conversation?" "yes, but don't worry, they believe you are the princess as well and think you would be an excellent leader" Legolas explained. "We should discuss this with Thorin" "why?" "he is the leader of the company, and deserves to know what is taking place on this journey" Lizzy said sternly. Out of the corner of her eye, Lizzy say Fili. He was starring at Legolas, if only looks could kill. Oh no she thought this had better not turn into a stupid love triangle like in the movies.
