Before I knew it we were already getting off the boat and walking up to the school's entrance. The only thing that I didn't like was the person behind me kept accidentally bumping into my bags. Other than that I was nervous and excited. I couldn't wait to get a look around and to see my new dorm room. Because the island was intended for hundreds upon millions of special kids, the high school was huge. It had this feeling that set you on edge at first, but after taking a good look around you realize how magical the place seems. There is a thick forest surrounding the school. My guess is so that the werewolves can learn hands on about how to change and get used to the forest. The trees seemed thick and I knew that angels, vampires, fairies, and others who fly are going to take flying lessons in there... Great...

"This will be your new home for the next four or however many years you stay. My name is Mrs. VonBrucken and I'm the Headmaster here. There are separate dorm rooms for males and females. Also, we understand that you are teenagers and need your own space so you will not be roomed with anyone unless you want to. There will be between fifteen to twenty kids per classroom. That gives the teacher hands on experience with each and everyone of you, so please feel free to ask questions. Now, if you'll follow me, I will give you all a tour of the school. Try to keep up and don't get lost. You can branch off from here to look around on your own. Just come to the front office any time today to fill out the necessary paperwork." She turned and began walking toward the school when she stopped to talk again. "Oh! And we are also offering college classes here. So, not only can you get high school credits, but the other staff have talked me into making this place a college too. That's all the information for now."

As we stepped in I honestly didn't know what to think it would be like. I was kind of imagining a dark place based upon the way she dressed, but it was the opposite. The walls were a pearl white color with portraits of the most famous supernaturals hanging on the walls. I heard her say that we could find our dorm name, room number, and the hallway in the office. So when no one was looking my way, I darted out of there as fast as my legs could carry me. As I slowed my pace down I wondered what kind of necessary paperwork was there waiting for all of us. Going down the hallway, I noticed that I wasn't the only one who got out of there the second humanly possible. About twenty other students were going down the same hallwayas me, and I'm sure more of them took a different hallway. I could see the sign saying "Front Office: Straight Ahead" and knew I was almost there.

The office was a medium blue color and mesmerized me at first. But after I heard the door opening up behind me I was brought back to reality. I went up to front desk and asked one of the many ladies there if I could have the necessary paperwork. She nodded then went behind the counter. After a minute, she brought back a small stack of three papers and a really thick book. They didn't weigh as much as I thought they would though. She pointed to the wall to her left and told me the dorm list was there. So, paperwork in hand, I walked over and skimmed down the list searching for my name. "Angel Nite, Dorm Blue, Room number 1457; Hallway D". When I was registering, I told the headmaster herself that I wanted to be called Angel Nite to hide my family's reputation. Alright I thought, here we go.

As I took a map that sat next to the exit labelled door, I headed out into the unknown territory. I followed down Hallway One until I came across Hallway D. The first room was number 1382, so I had a ways to walk until I came to my room. I was happy to hear that we were in our own rooms unlike a lot of other boarding schools. I began wondering how the decorating issue was going to play out. As I aimlessly roamed around the dorm hallways, I thought maybe it would've been better if I had taken the tour that Mrs. VonBruken was trying to show us. But after being held in that airplane and boat with all those teenagers, I was happy to get some time to myself. Even if I was a little lost. I just hoped I was going the right way...

--Whack!!-- I hit something hard and came crashing down. The floor beneath me wasn't that hard, so it comforted my fall a little but still didn't help very much. My elbow hurt like crazy and pain shot all through my body. I stirred as I tried to sit up.

"Great job Xander. I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" The voice shook me inside and I was finally able to sit up. I stared up at him for a minute but remembered that he was waiting on my answer. I'm just peachy.....

"Uh...Yeah. I'm fine. I wasn't looking where I was going. Are you alright?" I asked him back he nodded to me and offered me a hand up. I looked him over before I accepted the offer. He looked pretty strong and I figured that he must work out. His eyes were a mix of grey, silver, and a light blue. I could tell that they differ upon his moods kind of like mine do. His hair was swept around his face but it looked really good on him. And the dark black color of his hair made his eyes shine. Like an idiot, I stood there just staring at him not registering anything that was happening or anything that he was saying. Then I mentally shook myself, and finally the gears in my mind began to turn again. "Oh, I'm so sorry about that. I guess I was just so lost in thought that I didn't see you coming at all." I stopped when some thing else connected in me."What are you doing in the girls' dorm area?"

His face turned into a comical look and I could tell that he was trying not to laugh. "You didn't listen to the tour Mrs. VonBruken was giving, did you?" He stopped and looked over to see me shake my head no. "She explained that even though the sexes are separate, she has put the dorm rooms boy-girl-boy-girl. It was to help the different sex's unite and for us to make friends faster. She thought it was a brilliant idea. I think she's crazy." He continued mumbling about her craziness when he stopped and noticed that I was more than likely lost. "Need any help getting somewhere?" He sounded concerned and when I looked into his eyes I seen it there too.

"Uh, you wouldn't happen to know where Dorm Number 1457 is, would you?" I asked. He nodded and said something, but I didn't hear him. Instead I followed him and almost smacked into him again when he stopped short and turned.

"Dorm Number 1457" He said as he pointed to the door labelled it. I smiled in happiness and relief.

"Thanks a lot. I owe you one."

"So, what are you here for?" He asked, changing the topic to what didn't suit me. I hadn't came up with an answer for that yet.

"Uh...I'd rather not...um...tell people my gift quite yet." I pretended that I was shy about my "gift" and it played off well.

"Just don't forget to put it down on the papers the office gave you. The kind of classes are suited around your gift. That way you can make friends with others that have the same gift as you. Well, I hope I see you again soon." He had already started to walk away. Hmm....

I twisted the handle and was surprised to see it unlocked. I set my purse down on the bed they gave us, and collapsed. I looked over to see that they dropped my bags off while I was getting lost. And also, that on the nightstand beside the bed, a shiny metal key was resting there with the numbers 1457 etched in it. I looked around at my new bedroom. The walls were white and bare. I shuttered at the sight. How ugly. There was a walk in closet on the far right front of the room, and I just barely seen a door that broke off form there. I stepped into the closet to check it out. There was a place to hang clothes and then drawers under and next to the bar holding the clothes above to store more clothes in. There was even two racks to put your shoes. In the very back of the closet was the door that was just barely visible from my bed. I opened that up to find a small bathroom. It contained a black walk-in shower, a toilet, and a sink with a mirror. The mirror also opened up to be a medicine cabinet and I knew that would come in handy.

I walked back into the bedroom and seen an envelope was slipped under my door.
