As I walked back into my bedroom from the walk-in closet, I seen an envelope laying by my door. I didn't know what to expect. I just arrived and yet I already have mail? How weird is that? I took my suitcases into the closet and decided I might as well open the letter. Out came an off white colored paper and I skimmed through the letter. It was just a welcome paper from the Head Master with another paper attached. It told me that my paperwork will be due in three days and that the next Monday I'll join classes. Great. It also had writing on the back. The writing there showed all the recommended classes I'll take depending on what supernatural I am. I sighed and walked over to my bed. I had no idea which one I would choose... There's just too many...
With nothing else to do, I started unpacking. So I went into the closet and started planning where and how I was going set my clothes up. I hung up as much clothes as I could and folded the rest. When I was done, I walked back into the bedroom to look at the desk and nightstand. I found some sticky notes on the desk and labelled the drawers. It took about half an hour until I was completely done in my closest. I walked over and sat on my bed. I was tired of going back and forth so much and needed to rest my feet. I looked over at the paperwork that was at the end of my bed and I knew I needed to do it before I forgot about it. I sighed as I heaved myself up and walked over to grab them. I flopped back down after grabbing the thick book from the office, and a pen. 'Here we go again...' My brain managed to say.
I filled out most of the three pages with ease. The questions were easy and were: Do you want to have a roommate living in your dorm? No. Are you allergic to anything? If so, what would it be? No known allergies. What's your favorite food(s)? Spaghetti with meatballs, spicy chicken, and salads. Lots of salads. My parents thought that because I would need to be strong to handle all of the supernaturals that I was born with, I'd need to be strong. In order for me to do a "necessary workout" they kept me homeschooled. That way they could teach me while I kept my exercises up. So they made me run laps around the neighborhood for four hours then take a twenty minute break. Then do sit-ups, squats, leg-lifts, and anything in that nature for two hours. Then take another break. Have lunch which was a salad and either water or a protein shake. I had half an hour to relax and let the food settle. Do another ten laps then break. Work on my upper and middle body strength for three hours. Then take yet another short break. Do jumping jacks and jump rope for one hour. Then came an hour of yoga. After a ten minute break it was diner time. No matter what it was, I always ate the correct proportions of fruit, meat, and veggies. If I didn't finish the entire plate, I got grounded for an entire month.
I came back from my daydreaming to find that it was already fifteen minutes after eight. I heard my tummy rumble. I looked in the thick book at the section labelled, "All Your Hungry Needs." Yuck. Real original name there... I read through and noted what time breakfast, lunch, and dinner were. I walked over to my little white board I had in my locker in my old school. I had taped it up on my front door. I wrote, "Breakfast: 8:30 a.m. Lunch: 1 p.m. Dinner: 8:30 p.m." At least I knew when dinner was. I nervously glanced at my clock and noticed that I only had ten minutes until dinner was done serving. I looked myself over in the full body mirror that was in the bathroom and decided that I was good enough. I grabbed the map I got from the front office and left locking the room behind me. I checked and double checked the door and when I turned, I almost smacked into the person behind me. I muttered a "Sorry about that" and she just nodded in approval before going back to her conversation.
I stuck the map into the front pocket of my skinny jeans and followed the rest of the students. They obviously listened to Mrs. VonBrucken's speech... When I got to the cafeteria, I was awestruck. The place was so huge and beautiful. The walls were a shiny silver with a golden color going through it, swirling in any way. It was exciting to see. I loved the look. The floors were a white and silver marble color. It diffidently complimented the walls, which I loved even more. But when someone bumped into me I realized I probably looked like an idiot standing there gawking at the color scheme of the room. Great first impression, so I went back in line. I was a lot further behind then I'd like to be, but I couldn't do anything about that. When I got up in the line I noticed that tonight's dinner would be chili with a side of cornbread and corn on the cob. I haven't had this kind of food for a long time. When I got my tray full of food, I nearly passed out from happiness. I had chili, cornbread, corn on the cob, and for dessert was a little thing of vanilla ice-cream. I was in heaven. Now the only problem was where to sit....?
