Theodora noticed Dumbledore standing outside Ollivanders waiting for her. He smiled as Theodora approached. Theodora smiled back faintly; she didn't trust him that much.
"Ah. Theodora, did you get everything?" he asked.
"Yes sir," Theodora answered. "Except for my wand, of course."
They entered Ollivanders' and a man with curly white hair and silver eyes approached them smiling.
"Hello, Dumbledore and who's this?" Ollivander said, turning to Theodora. His face fell and he paled considerably. He turned to Dumbledore, a question in his eyes and Dumbledore nodded regretably. The fear was evident in Ollivanders eyes as he stared down at Theodora. Theodora gave him a weak smile, not understanding why Ollivander was looking at her like she was a ghost.
"So, Miss Riddle.." Ollivander stammered. He cleared his throat and swallowed his fear; Theodora seemed to not be like her father in personality. So why should he treat her any differently? "Let's find you a wand."
Olivander darted off and came back with several boxes.
"Try this one, eleven inches, cherry and thestral hair," he said, taking out a sandy coloured wand.
Theodora gave it a wave and a vase smashed. Her face fell. Was that supposed to happen?
"Sorry." She whispered.
Ollivander took out another wand and smiled.
"Not a problem. Twelve inches, ply wood and unicorn hair." he handed it to her. This wand was dark brown, almost black and decorated with wooden carvings.
A shelf toppled over.
Ollivander paused and thought for a moment. Then his eyes widened and darted off the recieve another wand.
"Fifteen inches, beech wood and phoenix feather..." Ollivander said, sounding oddly excited. This wand was easily the best looking. It was a rich mahogany colour and red swirls decorated it.
Theodora took it and red and gold sparks shoot out of it. A small smile appeared on Theodora's face. She had a wand! A wand of her own!
Ollivander grinned. "Odd," he remarked. "Your wand is one of three phoenix feathers."
Theodora looked up curiously "Who has the other two?" She asked
Ollivander happened to glance at Dumbledore who was shaking his head. Clearly he didn't want Ollivander to tell Theodora about the three phoenix feather wand owners.
"Eight galleons please, Miss Riddle?" Ollivander said. Theodora counted out the correct money and then put her wand back in it's box. She left the shop, mumbling about a book shop she wanted to visit.
Ollivander sighed.
"Why did I bring up the phoenix feather story?" he cried. "Why did that wand have to chose her?"
Dumbledore sighed "It's not your fault, Ollivander, after all the wand chooses the wizard."
Ollivander groaned."Is she really Tom Riddles daughter?"
Ollivander remembered the young Tom Riddle when he went to get his wand. Theodora did look like Tom...
"I think she is, she looks just like him - almost a carbon copy," Dumbledore said.
Ollivanders shoulders drooped. "Good bye, Dumbledore." he said, ushering him from his shop.
Theodora was seen leaving the bookshop as Dumbledore came out of the shop. The similarities between young Tom Riddle and her were amazing.
