Theodora closed her eyes and began pacing. It didn't make sense. How could there have been another attack if Theodora had gotten rid of the diary? It wasn't Ellie, definitely not, Ellie didn't have the diary anymore. Theodora thought her magic had gotten rid of it, but clearly not. There had been an attack on the Creevey boy, Gryffindor.

So much had happened in the last few days, Hagrid, the gamekeeper, had been shipped off to Azkaban, the wizarding prison, as he had been accused of opening the chamber of secrets! Yes, Theodora knew about the chamber too, she'd heard Ron and Harry conversing about it in the library, they had been trying to work out what the beast was. Harry and Ron had worked out that the beast lurking in the chamber of secrets was a basilisk, a giant snake. Hermione (before she'd been petrified) had done some extra work and realised the basilisk was using the pipes.

It seemed Harry could talk to snakes too (Theodora had heard him speaking to a snake at duelling club, long story short everyone thought he was the heir of Slytherin).

Snape came into the common room and everyone looked up uneasily.

"Everyone, gather round." Snape commanded in his usual monotone voice. Theodora grabbed Ellie and Abigail and pushed herself to the front.

"If the student who is attacking the pupils do not own up, Hogwarts will have to close down." Snape was saying. Theodora was so confused, who was attacking the students? How could they be stopped?...

Ellie and Ginny Weasley wandered in a dream-like state towards the girls bathroom, blood on their hands and dripping onto their uniforms.

Theodora was looking for Ellie when she heard the worried voices of the teachers. Theodora panicked and slipped into a wardrobe, she bumped into something alive.

"Theo?" A voice said. Theodora turned around and met the bright green eyes of Harry Potter and the mop of red hair that was Ron Weasley.

"What're you doing?" Ron asked Theodora.

"I was looking for Ellie and heard the teachers, so I hid here." Theodora replied. "You?"

"Hiding from the teachers." Harry shrugged.

"'Their skeletons will rot in the chamber forever.'" McGonagal read out the message in a wavering voice. The message was written in blood, Theodora noticed. What was going on?

"Who's they?" Flitwick asked, visibly trembling.

"Ginny Weasley and Ellie Lestrange." Snape answered. Theodora inhaled sharply, her body stiffening and her hands going numb. Beside her, Harry and Ron also gasped, fear in both their eyes.

"N-no," Ron mumbled softly. "That's my sister.."

Theodora turned to the two boys, her face set with determination.

"We're going to get them." She said firmly.
