-One month later
Genji stood in the middle of the training room, listening intently on his surroundings. He was listening for a certain student of his. Hana and Lena were sitting on one of the nearby benches on the training room, watching with interest, glancing up every now and then without moving their heads at the rafters as to not give away the location as to where said student was.
You had perched yourself, in a crouching position looking down at the cyborg. Your katana coming partly out of its sheathe, while you readied your shurikans Genji had gotten you as a gift. They were a beautiful silver metal with darker colored dragons etched into the metal.
He had shown you exactly how to both hold and throw them towards your target. Genji remained still as if he were waiting for the sound of your footfall.
You pulled the sword out of its sheath and jumped down from the rafters, attempting to land on top of him. He had immedeitley heard you and rolled out of the way as your sword pierced into the ground. You stood up, yanking it out and looked at him with a smirk.
"Very good, Chīsai tori. I almost didnt hear you. But your breathing needs to be more relaxed."
He had recently started to call you the Japanese nickname. It meant "Little Bird". He said there was a reasoning to why he called you that, but he also said it was a story for another time.
"Breathing eh? Or maybe your just mixing up my breathing with the sound of your robotic humming." I retorted
He simply laughed, "Sumātona kuchi (A smart mouth). But that wont get you far in a real battle."
"So you admit this isnt a real battle? Gee master, You could atleast make this training difficult."
The other two on the sidelines looked back and forth at the two bantering student and master,
"(y/n) and Genji could be mistaken for a dad and his daughter argueing all the time." Hana said with a smile. Lena couldnt help but giggle at the cuteness, being the only one who knew that you two were actually father and daughter.Their attention was brought back to the sound of swords clashing together. Genji got out three shurikans from his arm and shot them toward you. You leapt back as the shurikans barely grazed your back, landing back on your feet.
"Very good, my student." He said with a smile behind his visor.
"YOU TWO ARE SO CUTE! IM TWEETING THIS!" Hana went onto her phone. "These two are like two family members. both caring for each other, yet one pushes the other to be stronger. #Family!"
Genji chuckled at Hana's antics, "Well, other then being my student, I suppose I could see that. I'd be proud to have a daughter like her." You turned your gaze away from him and blushed from the small praise he gave you, causing you to smile.
"AW! SHES BLUSHING!" Hana yelled out.
Genji looked at you, smiling. There was no question that the bond you two had made was strong, even if it had been only a month. It was as strong as a master and a student could be. Possibly even stronger without you two even realizing.
After all, The bond between a parent and their child, is the strongest of all.
After training, you waved goodbye to the two, and you and Genji set off to go to the zen garden on the other side of the base. Chatting about how each other's day went.
You heard footsteps behind you, you both had turned around and saw that it was Hanzo with a serious expression on his face. Well. More serious then he usually is.
"Brother, may I have a chat with you."
Genji looked at you, nodding for you to go on, "I wont be long. We can meet at the zen garden later for meditation."
You nodded, walking off. Hoping everything was alright.
Genji looked at Hanzo, putting his hands on his hips, "What is it Hanzo."
"Its about your student."
Genji tensed a bit, "She isnt in trouble is she?"
Hanzo shook his head, looking around to see if anyone else were in the halls with them, then looked back at his brother. "Genji, you know that I worry for your well being."
Genji dropped his arms to his sides, now starting to become concerned.
"And I yours brother, but do tell what this is about."
Hanzo heaved a sigh, looking dead into his brother's visor where his eyes would be.
"I believe that your student isnt who she says she is."
