*OUTSIDE THE AIRPORT IN NJ*

[Kayla's POV]

The grip around me slightly loosened up and I was able to turn around. To my suprise I just screamed

"JAYDENNN" I dropped all of my stuff and jumped up in his arms. The fact that I'm only 5'4 and he's over 6 foot made it a big jump. He quickly caught me laughing while hugging me tightly.

"I missed you so much" I said into his t-shirt hearing my voice crack. I could feel a little lump in my throat like I was about to cry.

As he put me down I felt a single varm tear fall down my cheeks. He cupped my cheeks wiping away the tear with the warmest smile I've ever seen him wear.

"I missed you too Kay" He replied pulling me into his chest. I once again swung my hand around him starting to cry at the fact that he kalled me 'Kay'.

"You haven't called me that in over a year" I sobbed into his chest. I felt so at home. Maybe I can finally get my best brother back as my best friend. A new start for everything in this new state.

"I know, I know" was the only thing he said while rubbing his right hand up and down my back while his left still had a tight grip around me.

My head quickly shot up from his chest looking pushing him a little to the side.

"Where's mom?" I asked totally forgetting she was supposed to be picking me up as well.

Jayden just smirked and looked behind me.

"Here I am honey, didn't forget about me did you?" she laughed holding her arms out for me to run into them. I gave her a big hug. Yes I saw her yesterday, but I love my mom and seeing her now again after just a day felt amazing. Not as amazing as seeing Jayden smile at me and hearing him call me 'Kay', but it felt pretty good.

"C'mon let's get your stuff in the car and head 'home'" I could hear Jayden from behind me. 'Home' yeah, it'll probably take a while before this town feels like home. For now it's just 'home'. But I guess it's better than nothing.

Me an my mom jumped in the back seat of the car, since Jayden was driving, we wanted to both sit in the back and talk. It's only been a day, but apparently my mom had A LOT to tell me. As we were driving towards our house my mom pointed to all the different stuff around town.

Her and Tom flew out here a couple of times before we moved. Obviously they wanted to see the house in person before buying it and they wanted to see if it was actually okay to live here with us kids. After everything she told me on the car ride I totally agree with their decision. This place sounds amazing.

There's just one down side to everything. High school...I haven't attendet public school in years. And the fact that I'm gonna start as a junior is even worse. I've never been to a high school...yeah I've watched some movies and series here and there, but I dont really think that's the reality.

Just the thought of it makes me terrified. I'm such an easy target to pick on and make fun of and all that stuff. Either this is gonna be the time of my life or it's gonna suck ass. Well, I don't have a saying in whether or not I'm going so I guess I'll just have to live with it.

----------------------------------------------------------

At some point during our car trip I magically fell asleep. I've never been able to fall asleep in a car my whole life...even as a kid I never would. So the fact that I actually did now is unbelievable.
