Hayley's POV

I was glad that they had Mom and Dad's investigation on top priority. That way I wouldn't have to go back home and worry as often. And just maybe the mystery might be solved faster.

I sat in a chair that was in the hangout and listened to music. I looked over to see Alex sitting in the corner looking really uncomfortable with the new sling on his arm that he obviously was not getting used to. "Are you okay over there?" I asked and he looked, smiled and then nodded his head and got up.

"Are you going to the game this Saturday?" I asked Alex.

"What is the point, I am not going to be able to play in the game anyway. Why should I go?" Alex told me and I had to think for a second about what I was going to say.

"Well you could still cheer us on," I said back.

"Okay," he said and then left, and I continued listening to the music.

My phone rang as I was in line at lunch "Hello?" I asked.

"Yes, this is the Los Angeles Police Department, is this Hayley Woods?" they asked and I tried to figure out why they were calling me.

"Yes,"

"We were just calling to tell you that your parent's investigation is a top priority," he said.

"Okay thank you," I said back.

"Can you pass this to your brother, Alex?" he asked me.

"Yes, I can. Have a nice day,"

I found Alex at the beach "The police department called," I said to him and I could tell that he wanted to know more by the way he tilted his head down and raised his eyebrows.

"Okay?" he said back.

"And they just told us the same thing that Louis did. That Mom and Dad's investigation was top priority and they told me to tell you that."

"Okay then," he said and we walked to lunch together.

                                ————

That morning I woke up and got out of the bed. I went and took a quick shower before everyone else started getting up because if I don't I will not be able to get in the shower in time.

I put the new cheer uniform on. It came in yesterday, and it fit perfectly. Daniel and Alex just started to get up. Practice was at 10:00 and the game was at 11:00. It was now 9:25.

I went outside and ordered breakfast and had it delivered to the hangout. It took about fifteen minutes to get there. After that I packed my gym bag I put a granola bar, two waters, my purple and yellow pom poms, and my cheer bow.

I went to the hangout just down the hallway and most of the cheerleaders were there, there was also a few basketball players. I walked in and Brooke and Sophie said hey today. It was 9:15 and all they basketball players still haven't came in yet.

After everybody got down to the hangout it was 9:50 and we had to hurry up so the coaches wouldn't be mad. Especially the basketball coach, he gets really mad even if we are one minute late. We all grabbed everything we needed and ran out the door.

All twenty of us fit in two elevators after we got in it went down five floors and we got out and ran in the gym. "You are all five minutes late!" the coach yelled from the other side of the gym.

I nudged Daniel's shoulder "I told you you were going to slow on the road," I said whispering. And then he rolled his eyes and raised his eyebrows.

We all had to run twenty laps around the gym instead of practice. We got to stop at seventeen though because people started coming and setting up the scoreboards about ten minutes after we got there.

Our opponents came into the gym door from the bus that was parked outside. Most of the guys were about six feet tall. Every one of them looked at us before walking into the locker room, some even whispered and laughed.

After they all went into the locker room, the coaches from the other team came over and shook our coaches hands and they introduced themselves and all of us. We walked back on the gym and the basketball players started to throw three pointers and the other team came out wearing orange jerseys and shorts.

They came on the other side of the court and their coach threw a teammate a ball, I assumed it was the captain because the uniform was slightly different then everybody else's. It was the same way with the fifteen cheerleaders that they had.

There was about twenty five different boarding schools in California so we had plenty of teams to play against.

                                ————

The game was over about two hours later. Both sides of the bleachers were full because the boarding school that we played against is approximately the same size as our school. The score at the end of the game was 84-73.

We got back to the hangout and I changed in some everyday clothes, which I put over a bathing suit because the Eagles decided to go on a victory beach trip while it was still warm which it was late September and cold weather will be here very fast.

We drove Brooke's Jeep to the beach. I held my bag along with the umbrella that weighed about ten pounds. Of course one of the boys couldn't carry the heaviest thing in the trunk. My beach bag had a beach towel, SPF 25 sunscreen, sun tan lotion, sunglasses, a book, a portable charger, my phone, and my flip flops which I stuck in my bag right as my feet hit the sand.

I liked that when it got cold the Ravens would not get to go to the beach or pool until the next summer but we won the challenge at the beginning of the school year so we would still be able to get into the hot tub. "Please come get in the ocean with us," Daniel said as he came up to me dripping salt water all over me.

"Fine!" I said annoyed because he has already asked me like five times before.

I put my hand out for me to pull me up and he did and I jumped up and squealed and then started to laugh after he pulled me and I jumped a foot in the air. He picked me up and carried me to the ocean he acted like he was going to throw me but then walked forward some more and gently put me down and the water and I floated on my back swaying my arms back and forth.

After about two hours we decided to go back to the campus. I shook the sand off of my towel and dried off then rolled it up and put it in my bag. I put my clothes back on and put my belongings back into the bag. This time I didn't have to carry the umbrella, Alex did.

When we got back I took a shower and rinsed my hair out and shampooed it really quick so it wouldn't smell fishy. After I put different clothes on we all went to dinner.

My phoned buzzed as I answered it "Hey Alex," I said.

"Hey, listen to me Hayley the police just called me and said they think they found out where Mom and Dad are being held captive,"

My mouth dropped open as I ran out of the line and grabbed Daniel's hand while I was at it. "Where are you?" I said as I got into my car and drove off. I could tell Daniel was confused cause he was shaking his head.

"I'm on my way to the police station, the one about fifteen miles away from the greenhouse,"

" I will need to stop for fuel but I will be there as fast as I can," I said as the phone beeped and I put it down.

"What is going on?" Daniel said sounding annoyed and confused.

"The police think they found my mom and Dad."
