A Fierce,Proud Woman

The scars on her skin

Show the places she's been

The stories that she doesn't tell

Are living proof she's walked through hell

The fire in her eyes

Wasn't there before she fought for her life

Some call her fake,

Some call her a fraud

But she's as real as it gets

And their insensitivity is appalling

Some call her ugly

Damaged by time

But only those who see the beauty

Truly realize

What this woman has been through

The things she's seen

If it was you

Would you mock where she's been?

You'll never truly know her

Until you've walked through her life

The closest you can get

Is doing life by her side

This woman is fierce

This woman is proud

Of all the tears she cried

When her life was on the ground

For all the things she went through

Made her who she is today

The depression that she knew

And the pain and memories it took her years to face

She has no regrets

She lives a life of pride

This woman truly gets

The real meaning of life.
