Rory's POV
I'm sitting eating breakfast around a week after I told Logan I'm carrying his child.
"So Ace, what's on the schedule for today?" Logan asks, coming out of the bedroom and into the kitchen. Earlier this week I moved in with him, and he's been so amazing this past week.
"Well, we have to tell your parents about the whole situation at some point, today is Friday and I believe Emily is still in Hartford, so I was thinking a family dinner and tell Emily and your parents at the same time?" I propose.
"That sounds like a plan. Oh, Honor texted me yesterday because she heard from Finn who said we were a thing again. Ace, what are we?" Logan asks.
"Well, besides us being this little kid's parents, I'm not sure. Why? Do you want to be something more?" I ask.
"Yes, Ace. I want to be your everything. I know that you and the baby are already my everything. Ace, will you be my girlfriend?" Logan asks.
"Yes! Oh what did Honor say?" I ask.
"Oh she wants to meet up with you for coffee. Shall I give her your new phone number?" Logan asks.
"Yeah. Or easier, you give me hers and I can text her." I say, picking my phone up off the counter.
"Okay. I just texted it to you." Logan says as my phone buzzes.
"Thanks babe. Now, I'm going to get ready and then maybe go to the mall to get something for dinner because I'm about 8 weeks and I'll only keep getting bigger." I say.
"Okay, have fun. Oh, why don't you invite Honor?" Logan says. "She loves shopping and she'll love to spoil our baby."
"Okay. I'll text her." I say.

Hey Honor, It's Rory. I'm going shopping today, want to come? I also have a few bits of news
Hey Rory! Of course I'd like to come! I can't wait! Where should I meet you? ~Honor
How about the first floor entrance to Macy's at the Hartford Mall? ~Rory
Sounds like a plan! Oh there's the Auntie Anne's pretzel place. We can start there and work our way through the stores! ~Honor
Okay! See you in an hour?
That works perfectly! Gives enough time for the nanny to get here! ~Honor

I get dressed in leggings and a tunic top and a pair of flats and grab a purse to hold my phone, wallet, keys, some snacks, and a pack of gum.
"Hey Logan, I'm going to the Hartford Mall with Honor, I should be back in a few hours. Do you need anything while I'm there?" I ask, grabbing my keys.
"No, but take my credit card and get some maternity clothes for yourself. You'll need them eventually and I want to help in any way I can." Logan says handing me a black credit card.
"Logan, I can't." I say trying to hand it back.
"Rory, just take it. Use it to get some stuff for the baby too." Logan says.
"Alright. But just stuff for the baby. I can buy my own clothes." I say.
"Okay. But if you find something you like Ace, don't worry about the cost. Seriously." Logan says smiling. "Oh, and no caffeine."
"At least I can eat pretzels. If I can eat pretzels, I'm happy." I say and leave the apartment and go down to the garage to where my car is parked. I drive down the road a few miles to the mall and park. I go upstairs to find a blond woman standing outside the pretzel stand, looking at her phone.

"Honor?" I ask.
"Rory!" She says, hugging me. "It's been too long!"
"It has been too long. So pretzels then where?" I ask.
"Well I want to get some stuff for my kids at Pottery Barn, and then probably Macy's or Nordstrom, then some sort of shoe store then maybe White House Black Market or Chico's?" She says.
"Sounds good." I say.

I get the cinnamon sugar pretzel bites and a lemonade and Honor gets the same but with a cherry Icee.

We go into Pottery Barn Kids, and this one happens to be part of a Pottery Barn baby and of course I walk over there to see if they'll be anything cute for the baby when I see this tiny white lamb blanket, a yellow play mat, and a light green bedding set for a crib.

"Rory, what's up? Why are you- OMG YOU'RE PREGNANT!" Honor shouts.
"Shh! But yes, I am. Isn't this adorable?" I say holding the lamb blanket up.
"Yes! You need to get that! Oh and the bedding and the mat. Do you know what you're having yet?" She asks.
"No, I'm only 8 weeks. So it's still technically a little early to tell people, but Logan and I are planning to tell Emily and your parents tonight at Friday night dinner. You, Josh and the kids should come too!" I say.
"That's going to be rough. We'll come. I know you would support us in a situation like this. Plus, I've always considered you family. You can count on us." Honor says.

The rest of the shopping trip was good, I got some new clothes, and of course Honor knew the best places to go for maternity clothing and what styles and everything would be best. She also helped pick out some baby stuff for us, and did some shopping of her own for herself, a present for Josh, and some stuff for the kids.

I dial Logan from the calling system in my car.
"Hey Ace, how'd it go?" He asks.
"It went really well. I told Honor and she got super excited and got some stuff for the baby. I also did get myself some clothes. Honor helped with that because I would not have known where to go or any of it. Anyway, I'm on my way home. I just wanted to let you know that Honor, Josh, and the kids are coming to dinner too." I say.
"Awesome. Should I let Emily know or do you want to?" Logan says.
"I'll call her. Alright, I'm almost home. I should go." I say.
"Alright. See you soon, Ace." Logan says.
We hang up and a few minutes later I pull into the garage of the apartment building, park, and carry the half dozen bags upstairs.

"I'm home!" I say, walking through the door.
"Hey! Did you call Emily or should we do that now?" Logan asks, taking some of my bags and putting them in our room.
"I haven't called yet but we can do that now." I say. I pull my phone out and dial my grandma and out it on speaker phone.

"Rory?" Grandma asks.
"Hi Grandma, I'm here with Logan. Him and his sister Honor and her family are also planning to come to dinner tonight. I just wanted to give you a heads up." I say.
"Oh hi Logan! Of course. I'll tell the maid to make extra food and to set how many more seats?" Grandma asks.
"Um well Honor, Josh and their two kids. Then me and Logan, and his parents. So 9 total including you." I say.
"Well, this certainly is a large dinner. Anything you kids want to tell me?" Grandma asks.
"Yes, but at dinner." I say.
"Alright. Well, if you want to come earlier than 7pm, just call. Or text. Your mother got me this new iPhone and I've finally figured out texting. I think." Grandma says.
"Okay. I'll text you if we decide to come early. I'll let everyone else know dinner is to be served at 7. They should arrive by 6h30pm correct?" I ask.
"Yes, that's correct. Alright, well I've got some things to do. I look forward to having everyone over tonight." Grandma says.
"By Grandma." I say.
"Bye Emily." Logan says.
"Bye kids." She says and we hang up.

"Looks like we're going over there early then." I say, looking at Logan.
"Yep. I'm just going to text my parents that they should arrive to Emily's at by 6h30pm." Logan says taking his phone out and typing a message.
"They'll be there on time. My dad is not going to be happy about the whole canceling the dynastic plan, but you're so much more important to me, Ace." Logan says.
"Okay. Well, I should go shower and get ready." I say.
"Okay. Well, I can't wait to see what you got for dinner." Logan says.
We kiss and I go take a shower, put my hair in a towel to dry and then take out the dress I got. It's a for and flare dress that'll hopefully be able to hide the baby bump when that happens.
I slip it on, do my makeup really simply with some shimmer eyeshadow, blush, mascara and some light lipstick.
I go I to the living room about 45 minutes later to see Logan sitting on the couch watching TV.  His eyes glance away from the tv and then back to me.
"Ace, you look beautiful. Alright, well it's 6pm.  The traffic can get pretty bad from here to Emily's house." Logan says, grabbing a light jacket.
I grab my jacket and slip some low heels on and we're out the door and in the car driving to my Grandma's.

"Ace, relax. It'll be fine." Logan says, placing his hand on my thigh.
"I know. But I can still be nervous, right?  I mean, this isn't something small we're telling them. It's big. Life changing." I ramble.
"Rory, relax. I'm really nervous too. But it'll be our amazing adventure. I'm going to be right here with you." Logan says, staring at me while we wait at a red light.
"Right. Okay. Yeah. It's a good thing.  Thanks, Logan. It's been a whirlwind week, and I'm excited about this adventure." I say. "So this is what it means to really live."
"What?" Logan says.
"At the LDB, you said people can live for a hundred years without really ever living for a minute. I have the same feeling then about the jump as telling the family and our adventure. It's the same adrenalin for me." I say. "I know it's cheesy."
"That's not cheesy, Ace." Logan says pulling I to the driveway. He turns off the car and looks at me.
"In omnia paratus." We say together and get out of the car and go into dinner.
