Hyejin laid in bed teary eyed. She didn't know what to do or who to go to. All she wanted for her birthday was to visit her mother's grave, but her father didn't even care for her birthday let alone get her a present.

She could have asked Heesun to take her, but she didn't want to bother her since she was stressed from her coming exams, and she knew their father would have killed her if she bothered her sister.

Hyejin went to the backyard where no one would see her, and cried her eyes out. She's been studying hard for the past six months in uni, and just wants to make her mother proud by visiting her.

Was visiting you too much too ask for?

I'm sorry mummy. Maybe next ti...

"What the hell!?! You scared me! I thought this place was haunted for a minute." Hyejin turned, only to see a shocked Yunu looking over the fence. Yunu squinted his eyes to see why she was being so quiet, and noticed her face was wet, and more tears coming out of her eyes. Hyejin wasn't surprised. She was already used to him being around and annoying the crap out of her. But this would be the first time he saw her like this, and she quickly turned away to hide her face.

Yunu jumped over the fence and walked towards her. He obviously knew about her position in the house. Hansol would tell him everything whenever he came over to avoid hearing his father screaming at her. Hansol would cry at the scene, and Yunu felt bad for him, and Hyejin. He went behind Hyejin and grabbed her shoulders to turn her around. She looked down and pushed his hands away. His phone then beeped.

She wanted to see mummy, but dad shouted again, saying orphans don't have birthdays

Yunu looked at her house and saw Hansol looking through the window, waving at him. Hyejin and Heesun don't know about this secret connection between the two boys, but they really enjoy being together.

Yunu grabbed her wrist, and pulled Hyejin with him to the front of his house, to his motorbike. He took out two helmets, and passed one to her. Hyejin only stared at it, wiping her tears. She shook her head at Yunu, and was about to walk away.

"Don't you want your birthday wish to come true?" Hyejin turned, and Yunu put the helmet on her head, and carried her up to sit on the bike. He put on his and got on, starting his bike.

They drove away, and Hyejin, who was afraid of the speed he was going at, held Yunu's waist tight to prevent herself from falling. They sped through the town for a while, and Hyejin could see people looking at them as if they were part of the thugs. She wouldn't disagree as Yunu's bike was decorated that way.

They came to a stop in front of two gates, and Yunu unmounted first. Hyejin sat, looking around. It was night, so she almost couldn't recognise the place. But she soon did, and she looked at Yunu surprised. Yunu, who was tired of waiting, pulled her down and dragged her in. He stopped in front of the huge field, and looked at her, motioning her to continue walking.

Hyejin walked on, and stopped once she reached the familiar stone. She sat in front of it, wiping away the dirt from the top, revealing the name she missed hearing the most.

"Mummy... I made it. I'm doing well in college, and I love it. It's been going well. Everyone's happy. I'm happy too, and I hope you are as we..."

"You shouldn't lie to her." Hyejin jumped aside hearing the voice behind her. She turned to see Yunu standing with his hands in his pockets.

"Lying to the dead is disrespectful. Be honest." Hyejin looked down, and cried. She knew he was right, but she always wanted to be positive in front of her mother. She doesn't want her mother to have regrets or feel sorry for her.

"Hello, I am Yunu, your family neighbour and Hyejin's apparent bully. Don't worry aunty, I'm not a real bully, I just like annoying her. But, to be honest, I love spending time with your family. Hansol is a fun kid, and Heesun makes great food. But, I know Hyejin the most since we always see each other in college and at home, and I can tell you, she's not always fine." Hyejin looked up to see Yunu sitting next to her, talking to her mother. She looked at him with sad eyes as Yunu continued speaking.

"Uncle is a great man. He was very nice to me. But, he's not the same to Hyejin. She's doing her best, but he barely ever pays attention to her." Hyejin was too shocked to do anything, and could only sit and stare at Yunu. They sat for a while, then Yunu got up.

"You should head home, or, you know..." Hyejin sat still looking down. She was too tired to go. But ended up going anyways...
