Chapter 16

The flickering lights stopped in front of Hyejin, which turned out to be candles, and all the lights came back on, revealing Yunu's very healing smile(yes, i said it) in front of her, holding a cake. Hyejin nearly fell from shock, but Sunhee, who was just as surprised, quickly grabbed her.

Hyejin saw Heesun, Hansol, Yuna, Jinyoung and the twins cheering from behind, and didn't know how to react. She stood up again, and Yunu simply laughed at the two girls' expressions.

"Blow, make a wish." Yunu instructed Hyejin. But she only stared at him, unable to move or think. Sunhee helped her sit first, and Yunu put the cake in front of her and stood next to her. She looked at him, and saw how he was gazing at her as everyone waited for her to do something. She saw the love in his eyes, and regretted doubting him at all.

Tears fell as she closed her eyes and blew out the candles, everyone now cheering for her, and she turned to him, hugging his stomach. Yunu was flustered, but hugged her back, stroking her head.

Everyone sat to eat, but Hyejin didn't have an appetite, so she sat in the living room. Yunu approached her with cake and some sweet things, knowing it would be bad for her to not eat at all. He sat next to her, and motioned her to eat, but Hyejin seemed lost in thought.

"What's wrong with you today? Did you think I forgot? You look upset. Here, you need to eat." he held a spoonful of cake in front of her, and she stared at it, slowly opening her mouth as Yunu fed her. She smiled slightly at him, then turned away, frowning.

Soon, everyone left to go back, and the two laid in bed, both doing their own thing. Hyejin looked over at Yunu, who's back was facing her. She could see him posting the party pictures on his SNS, smiling to himself. She moved closer, and hugged him from behind. Yunu flinched and tried to turn, but she held him tight.

"I'm sorry Yunu..." Yunu looked at her wide eyed as he turned, and saw tears flowing down her face. He got up, and held her face.

"What's wrong? Why are you sorry?" he cupped her face as he wiped her tears with his thumbs.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry I didn't...trust you. I..." Yunu kissed her lips, then pulled her into his chest, holding her tight while stroking her head.

"Shh... I know. Sunhee told me earlier. It's OK. I should've kept a lower profile. Or maybe told you a different reason I would be away. It's only natural you'd suspect, especially now." he cradled her in his arms, moving back and forth. Hyejin slowly stopped crying, and wrapped her arms around his body.

"Sti.. Still. I shouldn't have doubted you... I feel terrible... I'm so... sorry Yunu... I'll nev..." he kissed her again so she would stop talking, and pulled away wiping her tears with his tumbs. He cupped her face and kissed her again, and Hyejin responded as her arms made way around his neck. They slowly laid down, and Yunu pulled away when Hyejin's head hit the pillow.

He smiled as he gazed at her, Hyejin looking away embarrassed. He laid back down next to her, and pulled her into a hug. Hyejin decided it was best not to talk about it anymore, and closed her eyes, when Yunu suddenly spoke up.

"But we haven't made a decision yet. When should we get married and have our wedding? Your in four months' stage right?" Hyejin nodded, and thought for a while.

"I want to do it now, but, I would look terrible in a dress with my bump." Yunu chuckled as he stroked her tummy.

"I don't care how you look. Let's have it in two weeks. I want to do it as soon as possible." he smiled at her, and they hugged as they fell asleep.

The doors opened, and Hyejin walked down the isle, grabbing Hansol's arm. She looks up and realised that Yunu was true to his words. It wasn't that big, but it wasn't that small. There were only family and close friends, meaning only ten friends. She was relieved it was how he really had promised her, and calmed down a little as they soon reached the front. She looked ahead, and saw Yunu waiting in front, hands in his pockets, and she could sense the nervousness he was feeling, since his expression was the same as hers.

Yunu put his hand out, and Hyejin held it as Hansol let go and returned
to his seat. Hyejin looked down as everything happened fast, and Yunu turned to face her, holding her chin and pushing her face up so their eyes met.

He gazed at her, and smiled as her eyes shook, and he leaned in, kissing her. He wrapped his hands around her waist pulling her closer, and Hyejin's hands clutched on to his blazer collar. They pulled away as everyone cheered, and she looked down shyly, but with a smile on her face as Yunu smirked at her.

Everything was soon over, and Yunu drove as the couple returned home. As he stopped the car, he held Hyejin from leaving first, and she looked at him confused.

"We just had our wedding, and I've always wanted to do this..." he got out of the car and ran to her side, opening the door. He pulled her out, then slipped a hand behind her knees, while another on her back, and carried her up.

Hyejin squealed as he picked her up, and quickly wrapped her hands around his neck, scared she would fall. Yunu laughed at her hysterically as he carried her up to their apartment, into their room.

"Yunu! Put me down! You'll drop me!"

"Don't you trust me? Remember, I'll never do anything to hurt you. You're too precious to me." he smirked as he answered, making Hyejin blush hard. They reached their bedroom, and Yunu slowly dropped her onto the bed, then lying next to her, slightly above her. She covered her face and turned away shy, and Yunu laughed, pulling her to face him again.

They stared at each other for a while, before Yunu leaned in as Hyejin closed her eyes, and they kissed. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he pulled her closer with one arm, using the other to support himself so he doesn't fall on her and hurt her tummy.

As they slowly pulled away, Hyejin looked into his eyes, and she saw how much he cared. He gazed at her with love, and smiled at her, stroking her tummy. He laid next to her, then pulled her into a hug, holding her tight in his arms. And that's when Hyejin knew, for sure this time, that he was different.

He was always there before, but so were others. But this time, she felt that he will always be there, unlike others. While many forgot her when she said to, he didn't. While many left her following her father's threats, he stood up for her. And, while many never came to her when she really needed someone, he stayed by her no matter what. She felt how much he loved her, and how much he cared, and knew, she wasn't a nobody anymore.
