"Did you get the birthday cake?"- Elena asked Rebekah as she entered the apartment.
"Yes. Kol is bringing it up."- Rebekah said and now put the bags aside.
Seeing Elena with her niece in the arms, she spread her arms to take her.
"How is the birthday girl?"- the blonde said as Elena passed the child over to her aunt.
The child smiled happily as the woman now made faces at her.
They all walked into the kitchen.
"Are you going to feed her?"- Elena asked Rebekah, continuing-"I need to shower and change before everyone gets here."
"Of course."- Rebekah said putting the child in her seat.
Kol now entered the apartment with the cake greeting his siater-in-law.
"Thanks so much."- Elena said to him and went to the bedroom.
As he got into the kitchen, he put the cake on the kitchen counter and turned to the child making faces and protesting against the food her aunt was feeding her.
"Hey, Dylan, later you have loads if chocolate, but now - it's the tasteless stuff."
"Stop it Kol!"- Rebekah now said to her brother, turning to the child, who didn't want to open her mouth to take another spooful of the food.
"Come on, sweetheart"- Rebekah now pleaded the child-"look it's so good. Carrots were your dad's favourite vegetable."
"Yeah, he always ate yours too, cos you didn't like. So it must run in the family, Dylan refusing it."- Kol said and now added-"ok, I got to go, but I will be back in an hour."
"Is Bonnie going to make it?"- Rebekah asked.
"She is. She is getting a taxi."- Kol replied-"see you later."
"Ok."- Rebekah said and now turned back to the child trying to persuade her to eat some more.
In the bedroom, as Elena changed into something more festive she now took the photo of her and her husband they took when they went snow-boarding after their wedding-
