Teresa and the rest stood out in the hot glaring sun, looking for supplies. Minho had said that the needed necessities were to be collected within three days. Teresa had a feeling that the rest of the immunes would either riot or question Minho's leadership if he delayed their departure from here. But she also knew foolish it would be to do that since it would lead to nothing but disrupted peace and maybe deaths. She prayed that Frypan would be able to make sure that everyone stayed silent and didn't do something to attract cranks there, atleast until Minho returned along with the rest at the end of the day. The immunes may speak ill of Minho or his decisions but even they seemed to know better than to misbehave in front of him.

She looked up at the blinding ball of light, squinting.

"Alright, we need to split up.", She heard Minho say. She also heard Gally groan his disapproval.

"Think about it.", Minho continued, "We'll cover more ground. We'll split up the supplies that we need to gather. We can be done with the day's job twice as faster instead of walking around all day together."

"We'll also be killed twice as fast. There's strength in numbers, you know that. We have to stick together.", Gally retaliated.

"There's a reason you have guns with you.", Minho shrugged.

"This", Gally said, "is a crazy plan."

"It's the only plan we've got.", Thomas said, reasoning.

"You can't be serious. Minho..", Gally sighed, exasperated.

"This is not up for discussion. We're splitting up, that's it.", Minho said and Gally fell silent.

Minho smiled, victoriously. "Okay, Me and Thomas, we'll go together. Gally and Teresa. Sonya and Harriet."

"What?", Gally almost shouted. "Listen, I'm being forced to split up against my will. I'm sure as hell not your puppet. I'm not going with her." He spat out as if it were a foul word. "I don't care what you say, Minho."

Teresa rolled her eyes, turning away.

Thomas frowned, "Don't talk about her like that, Gally."

"You are still her lackey, aren't you? When are you going to get it through your head that she doesn't care about you, Thomas? You act like some lovesick puppy mopping around. Bet she's still screwing with your shucking head saying she wants what's best for you.", Gally scoffed. Thomas sauntered forward as if he wanted to punch Gally but Minho held him back. He said to Thomas, "Don't think wrong of him. He's just worried that she might charm you into doing something bad."

Teresa shut her eyes and turned around to face Minho, "I'm right here, you know. And I can hear every single word that you're saying." She narrowed her eyes, "Are we done here?" She looked at Gally, "And for the record, You are too much of an ass and I did not want to go with you either. Sonya was my first choice, but Harriet's too wound up, she thinks I'm gonna steal her away. That's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard." She saw Sonya stifle a giggle. She closed her eyes, letting out a breath. She was pissing Gally and Harriet off, but she didn't care. They were ungrateful and still considered her the traitor, after everything she's risked for them and all that she is yet to do for them. She had the sudden urge to scream her throat sore. She barely resisted.

Minho stared at her for a second before saying, "Thomas and Gally, you'll go together. Behave.", He said pointedly at Gally. He turned to the other girls, "Sonya and Harriet, you'll go together." He turned to her, "You...You are coming with me. I need to keep an eye on you to make sure you don't try anything."

Teresa rolled her eyes again, but didn't say anything.

"Thomas and Gally, you are collecting the heavy stuff. Go on now.", Minho commanded and Gally turned to the other side and started walking. Thomas looked at her and said, "Be safe. I'll see you later."
