•I sat motionless as it all moved so fast,
Meadows of the future; scrapyards of the past.
I didn't know where I was going; neither here nor there,
Into a land perhaps called nowhere.
Through the window I saw the welcoming hand shakes,
The silent goodbyes, the painful heart breaks.
Avalanches of sadness on mountains of fake smiles,
Tired, exhausted souls striding the extra mile.
Forests of hope meeting axes of defeat,
Cages of failure with birds who wish to succeed.
Smiles of the morning turning into nights of watery eyes,
Palaces of truth transforming into ruins of lies.
In the end I saw, the sunlight of success after nights of strife,
It was, after all, the midnight train to a land called life. •
