28. You? (2)

Sleeping on your bed,
far from safe and sound,
You struggle in your head,
to turn things around.

What if you can't be Wordsworth
With poems which you make you wonder,
Or Alexander,
To whom the world did surrender?

What if the stars don't shine,
And you can't feel the need,
To do something new and bloom,
Like a brave seed?

What if you can't fly,
Into the space,
With rockets, flames and applauses,
Leaving behind a permanent trace?

Oh but what if you die,
Without leaving a mark,
Exploding in the very same place,
Without ever lighting the dark?

But worse of all, darling,
What if none of these fears are true,
And the only thing you need to worry about is,
How could you be you?
