46. Upside down

•When days get colder,
And your soul stretches like a winter tree,
The night turns upside down,
To look at me.

The fishes become the stars,
And the sea becomes the sky,
And the clouds, so surprisingly,
Soar low and high.

Like puzzle pieces lost,
Looking for their missing part,
We float like water and oil,
In a world torn apart.

That's when my heart calls out to you,
Hoping to hold your hand,
But everything slips like feet on wet marble,
Without legs to stand.

And all of this world,
Lies like atoms chopped and sliced,
Like it was during the beginning of time,
Exactly the way it was devised. •
