I was sitting at the dining room table, scrolling through the internet trying to find a new job but I kept getting distracted by my phone. Every time it'd make a sound I would check it in hopes that it was Abel. It had been a whole two weeks since the first time we briefly spoke and I really wanted to talk to him again but didn't wanna seem desperate or anything so I didn't message him anymore. I don't know why I thought he'd message me first but I was holding out hope that there'd be some sort of interaction between us soon.

My phone went off again and when I looked I saw an instagram notification.

Theweeknd posted a photo!

I tapped on it and when it opened it was just a picture of Abel's eyes. I liked it and decided to just shoot my shot since he was obviously active at the moment but when I tapped on our DMs I was surprised to see that he had already messaged me.

Theweeknd: Hey stranger

I laughed at his cheesy attempt at flirting.

Shesagxoner: Long time, no talk huh?

Theweeknd: Yeah. I been meaning to hit you up but shits been crazy since MDM dropped.

Shesagxoner: Really? Is everything okay though?

Theweeknd: Yeah but we'll talk about me in a little bit. I wanna talk about you

I heard the door unlock and a few seconds later my friend Kyra was walking through the door.

"Ky! Look!" I showed her my phone and her eyes almost popped out of her damn head. "He DMed me first this time."

"Ooh shit, does he like you or something?"

"I doubt it. He hasn't even seen a picture of me."

"Well send him one!"

Before I could respond to her, he sent me another message.

Theweeknd: Yes lol what's your name?

"He wants to know my name!"

"Tell him!"

"No, I wanna have fun with this." I laughed. "What should I tell him to call me?"

"Buttercup."

"If he actually calls me buttercup I'm going to scream."

Shesagxoner: You can just call me buttercup

Theweeknd: Thats not you're real name but okay buttercup. Where are you from?

Shesagxoner: Im from Hawaii but I live in Maryland now.

Theweeknd: Maryland? Is that a state?

Shesagxoner: Yes 😂

Theweeknd: Don't judge me, Im from Canada lol but Maryland sounds boring as fuck.

Shesagxoner: It is pretty boring lol

Theweeknd: How old are you buttercup?

Shesagxoner: 20 almost 21

Theweeknd: Whens your birthday?

Shesagxoner: April 22nd

Theweeknd: I'm headlining Coachella that day
