The Last Wave

The ship set sail...
Winds rocking this boat we boarded,
Water once warm and calm,
You're no longer the one I courted.
The rainstorm fills the haul
Too tired; are we, for help to call.
Too tired to bail out our destruction
as we have forsaken all.

Passing by the wrecks
Full of stranded lovers floating.
They are hanging onto debris,
Out in sea with their oil covered coatings.
Caught in the spills of lust they adored,
Hoping to drift ashore.

Stomachs in a propeller, fear
Churning the ocean, hearts
Left in the cellar, tears
Have filled the rest of our ark
Too tired; we are to bail out our destruction...
Capsizing us 'til we depart

You said love is a sham
So...
Stuck in a jam I am.
Better, my head was. I
Love you! Like the dead of snow.
Happy, my thoughts are, now
I'm kicking my feet to float.
Sinking; my only choice.
Becoming of someone new?
Baffled; the past I lead.
Treading to keep my up my head
Through deep waters I swim.
Fighting off sharks, to win?

To my island of comfort without you.
As I tread I feel weaker,
Falling feels cleaner then with you
I'm drowning into something deeper
I cannot float
I am being pulled by the undertow
Buried by the tide for this is my last
Wave...
Goodbye!
