A Stone Heart

On display, for a shallow gaze;
Her marble frame, for all to praise.
Luscious breasts, exposed for art
Covering up a broken heart.
Chipped away and chiseled down,
Hurting eyes that can't be found.
A statue, for she is always still,
Like a stone she will not talk.
The brittle things in life tend to shatter
Though it is always harder to break a rock.
