"What if I tell you I like you?"

You were taken aback of this.

"That was fast, Hyunjin. How could you like me when we just met?"

"I don't know either. Please tell me you like me too."

Your eyes fluttered at his words. You weren't sure. Maybe you like him but maybe you don't.

//lunch//

"Y/N!" Xienlei yelled from afar. She was with Mirae. Speaking of the girls, you just told them earlier about your life. The struggles and your mischievous side, yes your relationship issue. But you earned their trust. They seem like good girls from the beginning anyway.

"Hey girls." You smiled at them as you all occupied the empty table on the cafeteria in front of the building.

"Why were you extra early this morning?" Xienlei narrowed her eyes at you.

"Yeah, and you were walking with Hyunjin. We caught you." Mirae said as she ate the piece of meat with her chopsticks.

"Oh we went to a cafe to have breakfast." You simply answered.

"Ah, so it's just breakfast huh?" Mirae once said. She was being suspicious at you.

"Yeah it was. What are you guys thinking of?" You questioned.

"Oh nothing. It's just that, Hyunjin or any of the boys have never been close with a staff. This just happened now." Xienlei winked.

"So? Is that suppose to mean anything?" You said.

"Awh come on, Y/N. What happened this morning? We really wanna know. Please tell us." Mirae gave up and pleaded with cute eyes and her hands were clasped together. Waiting for yoy to say, both of the girls across you started squealing when you opened your mouth.

"Let me speak, will you?"

They sat properly and started listening to you.

"Okay so firstly, we walked to the cafe just nearby and talked about my ex-boyfriend. We arrived and happened to see Jaeho, my ex and his new girlfriend, Lana who were also at the same cafe. I didn't want to go inside because of them but Hyunjin told me we should so I did. Lana started trashing me but luckily Hyunjin pushed me away from them. He started asking about what Lana was talking about so I had to tell him. Then he suddenly asked me a question." You paused to look at the girls.

"What'd he ask?" Mirae questioned.

"I asked her if she liked me too."

You looked over to who it was. And it was Hyunjin. Oh gosh.

"After asking her what she'd feel if I said I like her." Hyunjin looked at you and smiled.

'Why is he always smiling at me???'

The girls started squealing all of a sudden. They slapped each other's shoulders.

Hyunjin just stood there and kept smiling at you while you were in a confused mode.

'What is going on???'

"Can I sit here noona?" Hyunjin asked and you nodded continuously.

"Uhm, we're gonna have to go now, we have this uhm... thing we wanna buy before the shift starts so... Bye!" The two girls just dashed out like that. Leaving you and Hyunjin on the table.

You cursed under your breath and wished the awkwardness will fade off.

"I'm sitting in front of you noona." He sat across you.

"W-What are you d-doing here?" You stuttered. The thing you hate.

"Here for you." He smiled once more.

'When will he stop smiling?!?'

"Okay." You slurped on your drink nervously as Hyunjin rested his chin on his hands and looked intently at you.

"Is it just me or the weather is suddenly hot?" You pulled your turtleneck and fanned yourself.

"You're so cute noona." He pinched your cheek and tapped them. You were left blushing at his actions.

"Don't call me noona anymore. It makes me feel old." You tried to change the topic to lessen the nervousness.

But he just made you more nervous.

"Should I call you babe then?"

You cringed at his words.

"E-Ew no. What are you saying." You looked everywhere but him. Everytime you'd catch him in the eyes, your heart beats faster.

"Okay, I'm just messing around." He suddenly laughed. "But should I really not call you noona?"

"Call me b-by my name i-instead."

"Oh stop stuttering will you?" He's making fun of you now.

"Aish you're making me so nervous, Hyunjin."

"I am? Does that mean you like me as well??" He smiled even more.

"Don't get your hopes up." You rolled your eyes at the boy.

"Oh, I tried though. But what are you doing here?"

"Eating, obviously."

"Let's eat somewhere else come on." He took your hand and dragged you outside to a better restaurant.

It made you feel great that he's treating you so good. All of your exes treated you well. But there's something about Hyunjin that's better than all of them. Is this perhaps what you've been looking for your whole life?
