Chapter 16 | Cousin

"Yes? As in yes? Are you finally saying yes to me? Are we like a couple now?" Hyunjin jumped all around, scaring the people walking by.

He's been asking you again and again for the past 8 minutes.

You were walking in the sidewalk with your new boyfriend.

"Hyunjin, do you want me to take back my words?" You chuckled, pinching his cheeks.

"Of course not, babe." He smiled at you and you were taken aback at his nickname to you.

"What? Am I not allowed to call you babe?" He asked, holding both your hands and cupping them on his cheeks.

"No, it's fine. I'm just not used to it." You scrunched your face and so did Hyunjin.

"Aish, you're too cute."

"As are you."

Hyunjin walked you all the way to Seulmi's house. You wanted more time with him instead of riding a cab.

"Here we are." You said, turning to Hyunjin.

"Can I hug you?" He asked, giving a pout to you.

You didn't say anything as you were blushing really hard. Perhaps this is the first guy you've encountered who's super sweet.

"I'll take that as a yes then."

Without any delay, he hugged you tightly. The gate suddenly opened revealing a shocked Seulmi.

"Uhm? PDA is not allowed in front of my house?" She crossed her arms.

"What PDA?" You let go of Hyunjin and faced Seulmi.

"Good evening." Hyunjin bowed at her.

"Aish this kid. I'm not an old lady." She smacked his arm lightly.

Seulmi noticed something between you two and got a tad curious.

"Are you guys like a thing now?" She suspected.

"Yes." "No."

You looked at Hyunjin with a shocked expression.

"What do you mean 'no'?" His smile faded.

"I didn't mean to Hyunjin!" You walked closer to him, not to mention that you were already close to him in the first place. "I panicked okay?"

You cupped his sad face and smiled into his eyes. A few seconds later, he was smiling at you and hugging you tightly again.

"I'm still here, hello?" Seulmi was watching the whole thing. It's embarrassing. "So I see you're officially dating now?"

"Yes Noona." Hyunjin said, still holding onto your hand.

"But, how about the 'no dating policy'? I thought your company implemented that?"

It hit you. You have heard about the dating ban in JYP. But what can you do at this moment? You can't break up with Hyunjin. Nor can he with you. All those people who saw your 'PDA' with Hyunjin never even said a thing. Even Mirae and Xienlei didn't tell you to stop. It made you feel a little disappointed because they didn't remind you or warn you about the ban but it's not their fault. It's yours and Hyunjin's for not caring. You were just too carried away with affection to remember the policy.

"Then..." Hyunjin was the first to say something as he turned to you. "We'll just have to keep this a secret then."

His reassuring smile made you feel safe at the moment.

"But what if people will find out? I heard you've been pulling moves on her before you guys even became official." Seulmi pointed at Hyunjin. You were a bit surprised. How'd she know?

"Did you tell her?" Hyunjin was shocked.

You shook your head to tell him you didn't.

"I have my ways." Seulmi rolled her eyes. But seriously, how did she know?

"How?" You asked in a low tone.

"You know Kim Seungmin?" She asked the both of you.

What's with him?

"You're dating him as well?" Hyunjin asked all of  a sudden, covering his mouth with both hands.

"No, stupid. He's my cousin."

"Cousin?" "Cousin?!"
