Chapter 17 | Problem

"So you're saying you're Kim Seungmin's cousin? And you didn't even tell me?" You asked with a high pitched voice.

"Yes. It's not like it's important anyway." She shrugged and placed the cups of coffee down the table.

The three of you went inside the house to talk about the relationship ban and how you'll get through with it.

"It is! He's an artist and it's such a good thing to have a family member as one!" You screamed at her.

"Maybe for you. But not me. Anyway, Seungmin has been updating me about you guys." She said as she sat down the sofa on the other side and faced you.

Hyunjin was sitting beside you and sipping coffee.

"So that's why you weren't really freaked out after finding out I met the boys." You rolled your eyes, finally realizing.

"Duh?" She shrugged. "So, Hyunjin."

"Huh?" Hyunjin looked up at Seulmi.

"How long do you want to keep this a secret?"

Hyunjin licked his lips while thinking. You don't know what's in his mind but he's been thinking lately.

"I... I don't want to keep this a secret."

Seulmi's and your eyes went wide and looked at Hyunjin.

"What?" Seulmi reacted.

"Well at least not to my bros. I want them to know about me and Y/N. I don't want to just ignore Y/N at work and go on secret dates when fans will eventually find out. Maybe let's just keep our relationship a secret from the fans but not to the company. I'm sure PDnim will understand."

Well, he had a point too. For the whole month you've been with him, he doesn't seem like a guy who can really lie to the people close to him, especially the group members.

Second, the boys already had hunches about you guys. Even Chan whispered to you one time that you guys look cute together.

But, it makes you insecure that you're just his makeup artist and he's an idol. An idol whom everyone looks up to. Everyone like not just the people in Korea but also internationally. And only to find out he's dating you? A makeup artist? How disappointing.

But Hyunjin wouldn't give up so easily on you.

"Please don't break up with me."

Those words made your heart break into pieces. Never will you ever want to break up with him. Firstly because you barely just dated, and secondly because he doesn't deserve to get broken up with.

"But I'll only ruin your reputation, Jinnie. Besides, I'm only a makeup artist." You vit your lip to stop them from quivering.

"No." He held your hands. "Don't think that you're just a makeup artist. I like you the way you are. Makeup artist or not. Rich or not. Pretty or not. There's just something in you that deserves love. You're not just a girl who uses guys for money. Even if you were like that, you deserve love. That's what we all need."

His words made you wanna cry but you held your emotions back.

"Thank you Hyunjin." You didn't want this drama to continue. "So what do we do now?"

"Well, I'll introduce you to the rest tomorrow as my girl. Then we'll tell my manager."

"Okay." You were a bit afraid of the consequences. When the head finds out about this, she'll scold you for sure.

"Speaking of my manager, he's been texting me nonstop asking for my whereabouts." Hyunjin held his phone up and showed you the missed calls and hundreds of texts from Mr. Lee.

"Okay, you should go home now." You smiled, finally able to do so.

As the night went by, you were just thinking about this whole new thing.

And as you were thinking, Seulmi knocked on your door and said a few words.

"I think it's time for you to sleep now, Y/N. Don't stress yourself out of it. We'll figure out something."
