C H A P T E R - F O U R
Song- Kyun (because this song is something I found really similar to what Kavya is feeling lately)
*********
"What can you see that I couldn't?", she asked, her face etched with curiosity and sincerity. A question that often seems to be unanswered to her, according to her.
I slowly shook my head, a smile making its way on my lips as I saw the pure confusion through her eyes. She had no idea.
"My love", I began, "what you keep failing to see, is what you don't find beautiful enough to look at", I tell her, keeping my gaze at her eyes so she could see the truth. The truth that she was beautiful. "You don't see yourself the way I see you because you don't believe it."
"But what if I can't see it because I'm not really what you think I am?", she worries. I chuckle softly, finding it quite amusing that she still doesn't understand.
I look at her in awe. "You're right", I agree, "you're not what I think you are." A pause. A smile.
"You are what I see you are", I say, "because what you don't see in yourself, is what I always will. you are what you are, even if it's not visible through your eyes", I breath it to her, making her believe my words through my breathe.*****************
Have you ever had that feeling before when you feel exhausted for no reason? That feeling when all you wanted to do is to just go home and fell flat on the comfortness of your lovely bed in your safe heavens, which has a another name as well. Bedrooms.
I wanted the same feeling as well when I entered the elevator to reach my apartment floor.
I wanted to go inside my room as soon as I can, lie down on my bed, and cry my heart out. I was feeling so much emotional lately, and that too for no reason. All these confusion inside my head was giving me headache and a kind of nervous break down.
But the moment I entered inside my apartment, a strong smell of freshly cooked chicken hit my nostrils. That favorite smell of my favorite food.
"Eummmm, what's cooking", I moan in pleasure as I didn't realize someone else was already inside my apartment along with me.
"I'm glad you like the smell. Get in, I'm sure you'll like the taste as well", that very familiar voice of my brother came from inside the kitchen, which made me stop daydreaming about the food and focus on my surroundings.
"Bhai?", I asked in surprise as I saw my brother inside the kitchen with a pink apron hanging loosely around his neck. He was steering something inside the pan which was on the gas stove. "You are home so early? What's the matter? Is that boss of yours finally kicked you out?", I continued in mischief as I saw him rolling his eyes at my comment.
"You", he pointed that wooden spoon he was holding in front of me, "Stop daydreaming, that day is not coming anytime soon young lady", he continued, trying to sound as stern as he can, which supposedly made me chuckle.
"Then what's the matter?", I asked randomly as I sat on the stool in front of the kitchen slab, directly opposite to him.
"My meeting was cancelled today because of some reasons, and I didn't have any important thing to do expect that meeting. So I thought I should come home and spend some quality time with my sister, and off-course, made her, her favorite food", he said as he platted two plate full of fry meat balls and noodles in front of me on the kitchen slab. One for me and another for himself.
"I thought it's all for me?", I teased again as I took first bite of the heavens inside my mouth.
And that's the reason why Love this thing. It taste awesome, and more tasty when my brother cooks it.
