Roman
She had seen me the other night. But not me as a human, no, she'd seen the beast I was and hadn't screamed in horror or ran away.
Then again she didn't know I was the beast and probably assumed that I was always that way and not a man, but still it was progress enough for me.
I had to leave her by her window that night because we'd had an issue. Winter, the bitch that she was, revealed herself to Jason and we'd had to go calm him down.
He'd calmed, but the looks he'd sent me weren't in the slightest bit happy. I knew he'd tell Rori something and that's exactly what he did. However I managed to stop him from saying anything else and sent Winter in.
I felt sorry for Jason in some aspects because now that Winter had him, she probably wouldn't let go, that was just how she was.
My mind was on other things than Jason and Winter though, it was on Rori and our date tonight. I couldn't believe she'd said yes, she had only known me for three days, but nevertheless I was ecstatic.
I had waited three long years and it seemed I was finally getting what I wanted, to get closer to Rori; to have her.
There was just something about her that had drug me in and it had never faded or vanished with time, if anything it had grown incredibly strong. We Lupus didn't have mates, we met people and dated like humans, but in all the few girlfriends I'd had before meeting Rori, they didn't draw me in like she did.
A pleased growl slipped between my lips at the thought of just making Rori my girlfriend, of making her mine.
I knew members of my pack talked, mainly Eva who thought I would have picked her to be with, but that wasn't the case. I also knew Winter had plucked Jason from Rori when she seen that I hadn't been interested in her and Rori had been interested in Jason.
However, Winter taking Jason from Rori was the biggest help she could have ever done and so she chose to expose herself to him knowing he'd tell Rori. I needed to discuss things with our leader, Yorik, about Winter and her antics.
For now, though I concentrated on going to Psychology. My pulse was rapid and I felt myself grow hot at the thought of seeing Rori. I knew her friend, Bree, would probably be asking her all sorts of things, but I planned to steal Rori's attention from her.
I strode into the room and purposely sat in Bree's usual seat, right next to Rori, who sucked in a breath and moved her blonde hair to look at me better.
"What are you doing in Bree's spot? She's going to be mad," she said, her lips turning down in a slight frown.
"I'll think she'll get over it," I murmured, noticing once again that she was wearing make-up today. Personally I didn't care if she wore the stuff or not, I had found her beautiful before without it and it didn't change when she did wear it.
Rori seemed to blush under my scrutiny and I cracked a grin. I already knew exactly where I wanted to take her tonight, I felt that she'd absolutely love it.
"So where are we going tonight?" she asked, softly, her sea green eyes drawing me in.
"Uh, it's a surprise," I stumbled over my words. Real smooth.
Her eyes flashed with curiosity and she opened her mouth to respond, but a voice completely cut her off.
"Uh, what in the hell do you think you're doing in my seat, Romeo?" Bree's voice scraped my sensitive ears; she was so close and I winced.
"I'm talking...to this beautiful young lady," I said, turning to smirk at Bree and her bright red curly hair.
Her green eyes flamed for a second before they melted, "Oh, alright. Just for today, but I'm stealing her at lunch, Romeo!"
I rolled my eyes at her nickname for me and watched her sink into my normal seat. I twisted back to look at Rori and continue our conversation, but Ms. Corus' voice ruined away aspect of that.
However I spent all class just gazing at her beauty. Her blonde hair that wasn't the typical blonde with its ashy flecks in the strands, her sea green eyes that were as bright as the ocean and her pale skin that looked as smooth as marble.
By the time class ended, I'd mesmerized every beautiful feature about her and she had blushed the entire time, but I found that just as beautiful too.
She stood up and collected her things hastily and left with Bree before I could say a word I was in such a daze, but eventually I rose and trailed out after.
I had made it halfway to the cafeteria when Eva with her long, curly brown hair and just as brown eyes appeared before me.
"Where ya goin' handsome?" she purred. Her scent slammed into me and I realized Eva was in heat, she shouldn't have been at school today with all of the other Lupus from other packs. The school was a safezone, no one could start a war and those who did were severely punished, but all of the males or females who desired her gender would be attracted to Eva and no one could stop them from trying to hook up with her meaning a war, despite the safezone, could happen. It was dangerous and Eva knew it.
"You shouldn't be here, Eva," I snarled as she swayed her hips closer to me, her scent -- which was desirable to anyone -- floating up my nose and making the wolfish side of me hum to life.
My body hummed with the primal instinct to fuck and pass on my genes, but the human side could see this as wrong. Eva was using her current state as a way to ensnare me and break my small ties with Rori.
"I think I should be here," she said, her voice guttural from her urges, from her need to bed someone.
"It's dangerous, you know anyone from the surrounding packs will try to get you and that could start a fight and a possible war. Not to mention your erratic moods swings," I murmured, backing away as she tried to get closer.
She frowned at the mention of her mood swings, but it was true. Not only was it dangerous that she could start a fight between wolves, but she was a danger to the humans here. She could snap at any second and kill someone or shift.
"I'm fine, Roman. I just wanna see you," she purred, licking her red lips.
I swallowed. Eva had never once been my girlfriend and the reason was she was just like Winter -- trapping you and keeping you forever.
I reached in my pocket for my phone to call Yorik and she was suddenly upon me. Her body pressed against mine, her arms wrapped around my back, her claws digging in and her mouth kissing and licking at my neck. I stiffened immediately, ripped her away from me and yanked out my phone.
It rang once and Yorik picked up.
"You need to send someone to get Eva before she causes a fight between wolves or she kills someone. She's in heat," I muttered into the phone and Yorik's response was rapid.
I hung up and went to turn around, but she was there again, pressing her heated body against me. Her scent traveled up my nose and the wolf that I was roared completely to life, my instincts demanding I take her.
My fingers wound in her hair and I tugged roughly. She whimpered, but her body arched into me further, creating an erection for me. My lips almost descended to hers when a voice stopped me.
"Roman?"
