I had successfully made it through the rest of my classes that day, none of them having Roman, Jason or Bree in them. I hadn't been bullied much after second hour and I was pleasantly happy by the end of the day.

I had just shut my locker door only to jump in fright at Bree leaning against the lockers, staring fixedly at her nails.

"So," she muttered casually. Too casually. "What's up with you and Romania."

I snorted. "You mean Roman?"

Her eyes flicked up then and a wide grin claimed her lips. "Yes, I mean Roman Morrison!"

"What about him?" I asked, beginning to walk towards the doors.

"He's totally hot! But he's been closed off for, like, ever. You have to be some sort of special!" she squealed, eyeing me in delight. "Forget Jason!"

She had two things right in that sentence -- Roman was totally hot and I was beginning to forget Jason, but I wasn't going to tell her that.

"Well, I just realized his presence this year," I murmured, my face beginning to heat again.

"You what?!" she exclaimed, her eyes round with shock.

"Yeah..." I mumbled.

She laughed, but then said, "Well it doesn't matter because he's taken a liking to you. What'd you do at lunch anyways?"

"Just talked."

"Rori, you know you're gonna have to do better than that!" Bree said, playfully swatting my arm.

I shook my head and smiled at her. "Text me tonight and I will."

She pouted and said, "You're not fair!" but a grin was already forming on her face.

I walked away with a grin and slid out the doors, finding Claire's sleek, red car.

The minute I was seated next to Claire my mood dampened a little.

"So how was school?" she asked, her voice radiating cheer that was beyond the norm.

I eyed her warily. "Fine."

"That's it for your first day? Just 'fine'?" she asked, throwing me a small frown.

"Well it's like any other day, Claire," I murmured, feeling my mood sour further. I saw Claire frown at me calling her just that, but she said nothing.

Silence ensued and I stared out the window, praying we'd be home soon. My phone buzzed in my pocket and I held back a smile, knowing it was Bree.

I slipped out my phone and opened the text message.

So what'd really happen between you and Roman? [;

I rolled my eyes, but quickly tapped out a reply.

Nothing. We really did just talk!

I slid the phone into my lap and glanced up, frowning as I realized we should've been turning on our street by now.

My phone buzzed again, effectively distracting me. I opened the message and bit my lip to hold in the giggle.

Yes, but what about!!! D; I'm dying here!

I decided to give her something.

We discussed why I wasn't sitting at the table with you which you know the reason very well to! >.>

I glanced up and frowned entirely at the sight of a clean, modern building. We turned into a parking lot and my phone buzzed again. I scooped it up and opened the message.
