Celebrating Baby's First Birthday

James: You were your house celebrating Orion's first birthday. You walked into the dining room holding a large dinner plate with your son's birthday cake on it, and set it on the tray of his high chair in front of him. When you did, you lit the candles, and you all sang Happy Birthday. After this, you blew out the candles for him, took them out of the cake, and Orion smushed his hands into the small blue cake, taking chunks of it out and stuffing them into his mouth. After he did, you chuckled, snapping a picture, and James said, "It's time for presents!" You smiled, picking Orion up out of his highchair, cleaning his face with a baby wipe, and followed the guys to the living room. When you did, you sat down on the couch, Orion on your lap, and Cliff handed you the first present. When he did, he said, "This one's from James. " You took the bag, and you took the blue tissue paper out of the black bag, and pulled out a little black teddy bear with a Metallica logo stitched onto the belly, and wearing a felt vest with various metal band patches on it. You smiled, kissing James on the cheek, and said, "This is really cute! I'm sure Orion is gonna love it!" James kissed your temple, ruffling Orion's sandy blonde hair, and sat down next to you. After presents were opened and cake was eaten, your son yawned, and started to fall asleep in your arms. When he did, you smiled, and said, "Thank you for the awesome presents everyone, but Orion had a long day and he's getting sleepy." After this, you stood up, walking up the stairs to Orion's room, and set him down in his crib, turning his night light on and winding up his music box, kissing his freckled cheek as the music box played a music box version of the song Orion. You smiled, and quietly left the room after turning the lamp off and closing the door.

Kirk: You and Kirk decided to celebrate your little girl's first birthday by having a scary movie marathon and a few presents and cake. You were sitting on the couch holding a plate with a cupcake, and you and Kirk sang Happy Birthday, and blew out the candle for Amara. When you did, she giggled, eating the cupcake after you took the candle out. When she was finished, you helped her open her presents, which were a stuffed unicorn from Cliff, a little pink drum set from Lars, a little light pink guitar from James, and a little Metallica shirt, a pink tutu and pink hair bow from you and Kirk. When she was all done with presents, you put her to bed with her stuffed unicorn, and kissed her goodnight. When you did, you crept out of her bedroom after turning off the light and leaving the door open a bit so she still had the hallway light. 

Lars: You and Lars celebrated Torben's birthday with an outing at the zoo. After a while, you three sat on a bench after buying an ice cream cone for Torben. While he was eating, you two sang Happy Birthday, and opened his diaper bag, pulling out two presents. One from you and Lars, and the other from the guys. When you did, Lars held Torben's ice cream, and you helped Torben open his presents. After getting the wrapping paper off the first one, you opened the box, and pulled out a teddy bear. Torben giggled, hugging the bear closer to his chest, and you smiled, helping him open the present from the guys. After it was opened, you pulled out a little Metallica shirt, and said, "Aw! I'm sure Torben is gonna love this." When you two got home, you put Torben down for his nap, and you two slept on the couch after a movie.

Cliff: You two celebrated the twins' birthday by having a picnic in the park with the guys. It was a sunny day, so you guys sat under a big oak tree on a hill. While you were eating sandwiches, you took the twins' presents out of the large picnic basket you brought, and placed them onto the blanket in a neat little pile. The twins clapped their little hands, and you handed them each a present to open with help from Cliff. James smiled, and said, "Those first two are from me and Francesca." You smiled, and the twins ripped into the box with Cliff's help, and pulled out two stuffed animals, a stuffed panda bear for Julia, and a stuffed dinosaur for Michael. I smiled, and said, "These are really cute! Be sure to tell Francesca we said thank you!" James smiled, and said, "I will." Lars smiled, handing you his two presents, and said, "These two are from me." I smiled, thanking Lars, and helped the twins open the neatly wrapped boxes, opening them and taking out a toy race car for Michael, and a xylophone for Julia. You smiled, and Lars said, "No problem, I hope the twins enjoy their presents." Kirk handed you his present, which was a large black bag, and said, "This one is for both of them in a way. I hope they like it." You smiled, taking the red tissue paper out of the bag, and pulled out several little outfits including pants and sleepers, little band shirts, even socks and shoes, and a few hats and hair bows for them. You smiled, thanking Kirk, and placed the clothes back into the bag. When you did, you placed the two presents from you and Cliff in front of you and the twins, and helped them open them. When the boxes were opened, you pulled out a beautiful wooden music box, and said, "Cliff, this is beautiful! Where did you get it?" Cliff smiled, and said, "I made it with some help from my dad. He helped me put it together and made sure it worked right. My cousin put together the mechanism for it." You smiled, winding it up, and gasping as it played a music box rendition of Orion. You kissed Cliff on the cheek, and took the other present out of the box, and said, "My nana made the twins some quilts, and she mailed them to me." After all the presents were opened, and all the food was eaten, you guys went home, and took a well earned nap.

Dave: You guys decided to celebrate Emily's birthday by spending a day on the beach. While you were there, you built sand castles, collected seashells, and flew kites. After a while, it started to get dark, and Dave built a fire pit on the sand. When he did, you say on a log, Emily on your lap, and reached into your tote, pulling out three presents. One from you, one from Dave, and one from the guys. After a bit, you helped Emily open them after singing Happy Birthday. When you did, she giggled and clapped as she pulled a blue stuffed turtle out of the present from Dave. When she opened your present, she took out a teddy bear. When she did, you pulled on the bottom, and it played Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Just a heads up, the bear pictured above is the bear Emily got from you. Anywho, back to the story**
When she did, she hugged it close, and with help from you, she opened the present from the guys. She giggled, still hugging the bear, and you took out a really cute blanket and some new clothes. Among the clothes were some sleepers, some shirts, a tutu, some socks, and a really cute pair of pastel pink Chuck Taylors. After presents were opened, and s'mores were eaten, Emily yawned, clutching the teddy bear close to her, and fell asleep in your arms. When she did, Dave put the fire out, putting the presents into your tote bag, and you two left.

Jason: You celebrated Carter's birthday by taking him out to a baseball game. While you were there, you got Carter a sundae, and fed it to him with a spoon. While you were, you looked up, and saw a baseball coming toward you, and handed Jason the sundae, raised your mitt, and gasped in surprise when you caught the home run ball. When you did, you smiled, kissing Carter on his caramel brown curls, and said, "Happy birthday bud, mama just caught you a home run ball." After that, you guys got up and walked around between innings. While you were, you bought Carter a little baseball shirt, a baseball cap, and a teddy bear. A little bit later, you walked over to the pitching cage, and said to the players, "Could you sign my baseball? It's my baby's birthday, and this ball is his birthday present." One of the players smiled, taking the ball, and got the whole team to sign it. When he did, he came back, handing the autographed baseball back to you, and ruffled Carter's hair, making him smile and giggle. When he did, the player smiled, and said, "Happy birthday champ, I know you'll do great things in this world." After this, you returned to your seats, and watched the rest of the game. After the game was over, you went home, putting Carter's things into his toy chest and the signed baseball onto the bookshelf, and put Carter down for his nap. When you did, you and Jason sat on the couch watching movies, and fell asleep in each other's arms.

Rob: You were celebrating your twins' birthday by going to the aquarium. You guys saw fish, sharks, seals, and lots of different creatures. As you were pushing the twins around in their stroller, you saw an orca whale plushie and a great white shark plushie in the gift shop window. You smiled, walking in with Rob and the twins, and bought the plushies. When you did, you handed them to the twins, and you and Rob sang happy birthday, and left the aquarium. When you did, you went home, and you all slept on the couch after a long day of fun and birthday celebration.
