"Jeff, what's going on? What's the matter, why won't she wake up?" Newt asked, walking in the girl's room with Thomas and Minho. Jeff stood up, as we were still examining her, trying to figure out what was wrong. Jeff sighed.

"Hey, man, I got my job the same way you did," he said, and Newt stared at him. He looked down at me and I shrugged.

"Everything seems normal. Her pulse is regular, her breathing seems fine. She's kinda just... sleeping," I explained, as lost as everyone was. My eyes went to Thomas, who was staring at the girl with wide eyes. Newt sighed, looked away from the girl and noticed Thomas' glare.

"Do you recognize her?" he asked, and Thomas was quick to answer.

"No," he said, in a very unconvincing tone.

"Really? cause she seems to recognize you," Newt urged, and I stood up, sharing a look with Minho. My movement took Newt's attention from Thomas to me, then we all stared at the girl again, as if she would suddenly wake up.

"What about the note?" Thomas mumbled, and Newt answered without looking at her.

"We'll worry about the note later," Newt answered, and Thomas spoke back before I could.

"I think you should worry about it now," he continued, and Newt turned to him, arms crossed on his chest.

"We've got enough to deal with at the moment," he said, and I sighed, looking down. He was right, we had enough to deal with, but what was written on the note was still bugging me.

"He's right, Newt," Jeff said, and everyone turned to him. "If the box isn't coming back up, how long do you think we can last?" he added.

"No one said that. Let's not jump to any conclusions let's just... We just wait until she wakes up and see what she knows. Somebody has gotta have some answers around here," he concluded, still staring at the girl.

"Okay," Thomas said, making his way out of the room. Newt frowned, looking at Minho, then at Thomas.

"Where are you going?" he asked.

"Back into the maze," Thomas said, and I rolled my eyes. Newt and Minho shared a look, and Minho walked out after Thomas, looking annoyed. Newt turned back to the girl. I could tell he was nervous about the whole thing, especially without Alby.

"Can I talk to you for a second?" I asked, and he looked up at me, nodding. He looked at Jeff, and Jeff looked at me, then back at Newt.

"We'll go check on Alby," he said, before walking out, dragging Clint by the arm. I waited for them to walk out before talking.

"How are you holding up?" I asked, and he shrugged.

"I don't even know. I'm just trying to do what's best for everyone," he answered and I sighed, walking around the bed to get next to him. I put a hand on his shoulder and he looked up at me.

"We'll be fine. You're a good leader. You'll get us through all of this," I reassured him, and he only seemed more worried.

"What if I don't? What if it's really the last box ever?"

"Then we'll find our way out. Don't give up without a fight. Okay? You've got Minho, Chuck, Thomas, me. We'll get out of here, and kick the Creators' asses, okay?" I encouraged him, and he nodded, smiling. I bit my lip, then got up on my tip toes and pecked his lips. He gave me a funny look, then smirked, pulling me by the waist and kissing me again.

"I was starting to think you regretted our kiss," he said after we pulled away, and I smiled, feeling the heat rise to my cheeks.

"I just didn't want to kiss you in front of everyone. They'd probably get very jealous," I joked, and he chuckled, kissing me again. I kissed him back, then gently pushed him away. "Now go. You have leader duties to attend to," I joked, and he scoffed, before walking out of the room. I took a seat next to the girl, looking down at her peaceful frame, and I sighed, immediately losing my smile.
