Sophia's POV:

I didn't see them. They didn't exit the building. I felt the RV start up and start to drive away from the building. I ran up to Shane, who was driving.

"They're still in there! We can't leave them! They're alive! They have to be!", I told him.

"We have to get far away from this building. We can't wait. We are leaving. This is to protect everyone else who was with us.". He paused. "I'm sorry."

"No. No. No. No." I said in panic. I ran to the side window of the RV and saw us driving farther and farther away from the building. A tear fell down my cheek. My sister. I was supposed to protect her. Glenn. I didn't know him for that long, but he made an impact on my life. A big one.

I ran to the back of the RV and sat down on the bed. I put my back up against the wall and pulled my knees closer to my face. Carl must've saw me because he came back and sat beside me. He put his arms around me pulling me into a hug.

"I'm really sorry.", he said. "I really am." I felt him kiss the top of my head. He grabbed my hand and intertwined his fingers with mine. Out of nowhere we heard a loud bang coming from behind us. I knew exactly what happened. She was gone. My sister. Gone.

Karman's POV:

We had just exited the building when we heard the 1 minute mark being announced.

"Crap.", I heard Glenn mumble from underneath his breath. The RV and cars were nowhere to be seen. He started to look around for a place for us to go. To be safe. He stalled for a minute then picked me up. He started to run as fast as he could towards  the stack of a hay bails formed around the gates. He placed my body behind the tallest stack and told me to get into a ball formation. I did as I was told. I curled up into a tight ball and he wrapped his arms around my shoulder. My heart was racing. It felt as if it was going to beat out of my chest. That's when we heard it. The loud bang. I could feel the heat coming from the burning fire.

Glenn stood up and looked around.

"C'mon. We have to go.", he said while reaching his arm out to me. I took his arm and stood up. We started to take off down the road. The opposite way we came from. We were running and running. I don't think we are stopping anytime soon. It's almost nightfall and we have to get somewhere safe. The nighttime is always the worst time.

As the sun was leaving the sky and the moon was rising, I felt Glenn start to pick up speed. We had nowhere to go. Nowhere. All that surrounded us was trees. No houses. No cars. No food or water. We were trapped inside this world with just each other. I don't know how to shoot a gun or use any weapon for that matter, which is essential in this world.

"We can't run anymore. W..We have to camp out for the night.", Glenn said out of breath. I nodded my head and ran to the side of the road. Glenn followed.

"We will have to sleep in this tree for the night. It's the only way we can stay alive." Glenn told me. Glenn helped me into the tree and then climbed up himself. We got ourselves situated and fell asleep. I woke up on and off through the night but to me it was still a goodnight's rest.

Maggie's POV:

"Maggie, I need you to make a run into town. We need more medicine and some food.", I heard my father, Hershel, tell me.

"Okay. Will do. Do you have a list?", I replied.

"Yes, honey.", he said while pulling out a paper from his back pocket. I nodded at him.

"I'll be back soon.", I told him.

"Be careful.", he replied back. I nodded once more and headed to towards the door. I started to walk towards the barn to go get a horse for the run when I heard a man yelling in the distance. I turned my head towards the noise and saw 3 men and a hurt boy. One of the men was from my farm. His name is Otis. The other 3 were strangers. One had black hair and was holding a gun up towards Otis while running towards the house. The other man had a police uniform on and was running with a little boy in his arm. His shirt was full of blood and the little boy was unconscious.

"Help!! Please!!", the man in the uniform was screaming while running towards the house.

"What the hell?", I whispered to myself.
