2. Lost

Sophia's POV:

We're alone. Two little girls by themselves in an abandoned house in the woods. It was creepy out here. There was no noise. Just silence. I killed a couple of the dead when we got here. Kay hasn't killed any and she hasn't spoken since we saw our dad. I've tried getting her to talk but she wouldn't. I was just talking to myself pretty much. Kay was sleeping at the moment in the bedroom upstairs while I was watching everything downstairs.

"Hello? Anyone in here?" I heard a males voice from the back door. I slowly got up, making my way to Karman. "Hello!?" The mans voice yelled. I started hearing footsteps coming towards me.

Karman's POV:

I woke up from Sophia shaking me and whispering the word hide. She put her pointer finger to her mouth and shushed me. I nodded and we slowly made our way to the closet. I heard footsteps coming from the stairway. They made their way into the bedroom that we were in. I looked through the cracks to see what he looks like.

I'm guessing Sophia did too cause she whispered, "He has short black hair with a baseball cap on."

The man started making his way to the closet. Sophia started to back up but I froze. I don't know why I did but I did.

Sophia's POV:

She froze. Crap. I tried grabbing her shirt and pulling her back but I'm not strong enough yet to get her back here. The man opened the door to her standing there. "Ahh!!!" The man screamed and jumped back. I came out from the darkness.

"Hi." I said, my voice shaky.
"Hey." He said trying to redeem himself from the scream.
"I'm Glenn. Are you guys alone?" He asked. Karman started nodding her head. "What's your guys names?"

"I'm Sophia and this is my stepsister Karman. Kay for short. Do you have a group." I said trying to sound confident.
"Yeah. There is a couple kids there about your guys age." Glenn said. "Would you guys like to come with me?" He asked. I looked at Kay to see if she trusts him enough. She looked at me and nodded. "Yes. We would like that a lot." I said.
"Okay. Just come with me. I will keep you two safe." Glenn told us.

Karman's POV:

"Okay. Just come with me. I will keep you two safe." Glenn told us. I trusted him. I don't know why but I do. He seems friendly. He kind of reminds me of my dad. Just as we were about to exit the house I tapped Glenn on his arm and he turned towards me.
"What's wrong?" Glenn asked.

"She doesn't talk. She hasn't since the beginning." Sophia announced. "She hasn't killed either." I looked at Sophia and nodded then looked back at Glenn. Glenn mouthed 'Oh'. I turned back towards Glenn and hugged him as tight as I could. Glenn seemed confused at first but then hugged back. Yeah, he definitely reminds me of my dad. I let go and we started walking to wherever we are going. I wonder what this adventure is going to bring me. Maybe I can have my first 'dead' kill. I want to be stronger, but I have people protecting me right now so I don't think I need it at the moment. Hopefully this will be something good.
