8. Alone

Maggie's POV:

I started to run up to the 3 men and boy. Once I reached them, the police officer said frantically, "Help!! My boy has been shot by your man."

"Daddy!!", I screamed towards the house. "Follow me. We need to hurry before he loses to much blood." We were running up to my house when my dad came out.

"Was he bit?" my dad asked.

"No, he was shot." I replied.

"We need to get him inside and quick before he loses too much blood." my dad said calmly. We brought the little boy to a bed and stripped the sheets off. My dad, Beth, and Patricia started to grab medical supplies.

"We need room. Sir, can you please step out for a minute so we can save your son?", my dad said to the officer. The policeman nodded. I walked him to the porch and he kept repeating. "My wife. Lori. She doesn't know about this. She needs to know."

"Where can I find her?" I asked. "I will go get her and bring her back here. You just need to tell me where she is." He looked at me and told me the directions. I nodded and ran inside to grab a baseball bat. I ran out of the house and straight to the barn to grab a horse. Once I got on the horse, I started to travel through the woods when I heard talking from behind a tree. I got off the horse to peek around the tree and see a little girl and Korean man talking.

"Hey." I shouted to them. They both turned around and the guy said, "Hi... What do you need?".
"Are you guys in a group that has a Lori Grimes in it?"

"Yeah. We lost them and are trying to find them. We just had to rest for the night. Sorry we can't help.", the Korean said.

"It's fine. I'm heading to the highway. If you follow this path, you will be brought to a farm. That's my dad's farm. Go there. I will meet you there and will have your group with me."

"Thank you. Thank you so much.", the man said. "Karmen, let's go." And with that they left. As I was traveling to the highway I was reminded. Karmen was my baby girls name, but her dad took her away from me. I'm sad I never got to see her grow up, but forget about it. I need to find Lori.

Karmen's POV:

We are going to find our group. Thank god. I'm going to see Sofia again. She was always a rock to me. Keeping me safe and everything. She was always there with me.

"There it is. C'mon.", Glenn said. We started to run faster and made it to the farm porch quicker than I thought we would. Glenn knocked on the white screen door and a girl with blood on her hands answered the door and waved her to tell us to go in. We did as she told. Once we entered a door to my left was open with multiple people working on someone. While Glenn went to another room, I snuck a peek into the room and saw Carl's lifeless figure just laying there with Rick sitting in the chair with tears going down his face. A tear seeped out of my eye and I backed away from the room. I heard the girl from before come into the house with Lori. I ran out of the screen door to see Sophia. Finally. I missed her so much. I looked around and saw Dale and Andrea talking. I went up to them with a huge smile on my face.
'Sophia?', I mouthed to them.
They looked at each other with sadness and that's when I knew. What happened to her? I walked away and went to Daryl and mouthed her name to him. Daryl looked at me with no emotion.
"She was with us. She ran into the woods when two walkers went after her. We couldn't find her, but we're lookin'.".

My eyes started to tear up. I nodded my head and went inside. This is the worst day of my life. I thought it was going to be the best one yet, but I was wrong. Carl, shot. Sophia, gone. I have no one anymore.
What am I gonna do...??
