Humdinger Strikes Again (Second Part of K9 Chase)

Chapter 1: Jealousy

Third Person POV
It had been a year since Chase had arrived back in Adventure Bay. The election was postponed by a year because of another mysterious fire in town hall... Once again, the Foggy Bottom Fire Department did not arrive, so the fire spread to a couple of shops nearby as well. Fortunately though, the fire was put out in the end and everything was repaired.

Everyone had gotten to know the new pups and now it felt like they had always been there. Marshall and Everest still had an awkward relationship with a mutual liking for each other. Zuma and Princess, Rocky and Tundra, and Rubble and Miracle had special bonds but they weren't in relationships either. 

Chase and Skye though, what happened to them? Well... They weren't that close anymore... You see, Skye had been on Adventure Beach one day and she spotted Dale. Dale was an athletic poodle owned by some tourists who were visiting Adventure Bay during the summer. His owners would let him sleep over in the lookout for days on end. He and Skye were in love and there was nothing Chase could do about it...

"Hey Chase," Marshall said.

"Hey Marsh..." Chase said in a sad tone.

"What's up buddy?" Marshall asked. "You seem sad."

"Man, I just wish Skye would like me. It's like, when I come back she misses me SO much and now she doesn't even notice me," Chase said.

"Well, you just have to find a way to get to her heart," Marshall said with a big smile on his face.

"Yeah but this Dale guy seems perfect for her. They clicked immediately. Plus he is in pretty good sha-" Chase started.

"-SUPER weird haircut" Marshall cut Chase off.

"Do you think she cares?! Ask me, do you think she cares?!" Chase whisper-shouted.

"Do... you... think... she... cares?" Marshall whispered.

"NO! She thinks that it is attractive or quirky or something!" Chase answered.

Chase and Marshall looked over at Dale and Skye playing together, tuning into their conversation.

"Skye, I better go, owners are gonna get mad!" Dale said.

"Ok, bye Daley!" Skye said.

"See, she even has a cute name for him!" Chase said.

"Wow, that IS pretty bad..." said Marshall.

"Oh, be quiet! You're supposed to be supporting me!" said Chase.

"Oh, right, yeah," Marshall said.

"Hey pups! The election results are going to be shown in 2 minutes, let's go inside and watch them!" Ryder said.

"Mayor Goodway is SO winning!" Skye said.

"Yeah!" Chase said but Skye didn't even look at him.

And when Rocky said the same thing Skye noticed him...

Chase sighed.

Pups in the future POV (New thing I added, hehehehe...)

Skye: "Hey, hey, don't call me something mean, because in my defense, there was a helicopter flying over us just as Chase said 'Yeah!'."

Chase: "BS ALERT!!! BS ALERT!!!"

Skye: "🤦‍♀️ Chase..."

*Chase and Skye laugh*

Ryder: "NOW BACK TO THE STORY!!!"

*Random theme music plays*

Third Person POV

Everyone went inside and Ryder turned on the TV just in time...

"And the winner of the Adventure Bay Mayor Election is... Atticus Humdinger," The reporter announced.

Pups in the future POV

Marshall: "Yes, his name is actually Atticus... AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

Third Person POV

Everyone was speechless. 

"So, Mr. Humdinger, what is the first thing you're going to do when you officially become the Mayor?" The reporter asked on the TV.

"First of all, that's MAYOR Humdinger to you, and the first thing that I am going to do as MAYOR is disband the PAW Patrol and seize all of their assets! And NO ONE can stop me! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Mayor Humdinger said on the TV.

We're in sh*t now... Ryder thought...
