CHAPTER SIX - What did you slam the bloody door for?
Austin
As soon as Nadine had ran into the darkness, Brian and Fleur came out of the bushes.
"Come on guys, let's go." I said, rubbing my hands together as it was freezing.
"I'm exited, It's our first mission!" Fleur said excitedly.
She grabbed the fence and climbed. She took it slow, putting her feet into all the right slots. She reached the top, swung both legs over and jumped, landing on her feet.
"Easy!" She grinned.
Fleurs hair was down and flapping everywhere in the wind. She smiled at me and said, "Come on guys! It's really easy!"
I grabbed onto the fence. I had gone cliff climbing with my.... adoptive dad... last year when we went on holiday up the coast. I jumped down and landed on both feet, like Fleur.
I turned around. The woods looked a lot scarier close up. A chill went down my spine knowing that Nadine was in there all alone. Why had I let her run into danger?
"Hurry up, Brian." Fleur moaned impatiently.
Brian took his time, placing each foot in a slot slowly.
"We're going to lose Nadine!" I shouted.
Brian was startled and fell, but the force field saved him.
"You're lucky to have it man." I said, helping him up.
We all turned to face the woods...
Nadine
I had been wandering round the woods for ten minutes now. It was too dark to see if I was just walking around in circles.
I rustled around my rucksack for my torch.
"Crap!" I cursed as I remembered that I had left it on my bed.
A snap of a twig startled me. Someone was there. Swinging my rucksack onto my shoulder I began to sprint away. I was being chased. Were they going to catch me?
Tripping over a tree trunk I fell flat on the ground, face first. My body was in agony. I twisted around. Looking up, I saw a flash of light, then blonde twins staring down at me.
Fleur
I couldn't get to sleep. It was mine and Austin's time to rest while Brian stood watch outside. We'd set up camp inside the forest and it was freezing and noisy. Austin suddenly sat up.
"Nadine!" He said.
"She's fine." I mumbled. "Nadine's a strong girl. She can look after herself. Go back to sleep Austin."
Austin sighed and collapsed back onto his sleeping bag.
Suddenly a torch light flashed through the tent, blinding me.
"For gods sake Brian! Let me do the watch. I swear I can't stand that freaking thing shining through every ten seconds!" I shouted.
I untangled myself from the sleeping bag and furiously unzipped the tent. I scrambled out.
"Brian?" I said.
The flashlight was lying on the floor. Brian was gone.
Nadine
Kady and Khloe were on either side of me, guiding me through the woods. They knew where they were going because they had torches. I could see flames in the distance. A camp fire. I realised that Justin was here.
