It called for Nadine a few days after the party. The party had been amazing. I had stopped Nadine from being raped, revealed my true feelings for her and now we are going out.

I walked to Nadine's house, it was one of those houses on Primrose Avenue. It was perfect inside, all white and always clean.

I rang the doorbell but no one came. I knew Nadine's mum was in court but I thought Nadine would have been in...

I grabbed my phone from my pocket and tried to call her but her phone was off. Where was Nadine now? If she was in trouble, then she had to learn that I couldn't always get her out of it.

I started to get worried... what if the police had found out that she'd killed a person? She would be put into prison and the key would be thrown away... I shook the image of Nadine behind bars out of my head. She would be fine, she'd probably gone to see her dad or something...

Nadine's parents separated after it got out that Mrs Coal had been having an affair. Mr Coal was also cheating, so he had moved in with his girlfriend, Linda.

Nadine said that Linda was 'okay', although she kept out of her way.

I started to run, everything around me was a blur when I ran. I was at my house within a split second, as I only lived two streets away.

My house isn't very big. I live with my parents and my six year old sister, Olivia.

"Hey Mum, I'm back." I said, shutting the door.

"Hey honey, dinner is nearly ready." She sang from the kitchen.

I ran upstairs to the bathroom, that we all shared.

I turned the shower on. I had to be quick, or the hot water would run out. I took my top off and looked at myself in the mirror. I looked good. I had dark brown, flicky hair, and I went to the gym every weekend so I had some muscle. Though, I did notice something different today; I was beginning to grow paler. Maybe I was getting ill?

I started to get uncomfortable. The room felt warmer. It was as if someone else was in here...

"Loving he abs." A voice purred, making me jump out of my skin.

"Who's there?" I said, worriedly.

A giggle echoed the room, then the door knob turned and the door opened. I couldn't see anyone, but I could hear footsteps walking away...

Brian

I woke up at 1 o'clock in the afternoon after the party with a banging headache. I gulped down a cool glass of water then sat up. I needed to see Fleur. What had gotten into her? It wasn't like Fleur to go to parties like that, and chat up boys and get into petty arguments. And make trees appear at her will.

I swung my legs out of bed and tried not to think about the embarrassment of last night. I showered, got dressed and cleaned my teeth, not bothering to eat breakfast.

When I walked out the door, I saw a figure at the end of the street. She had bright red hair which was loose and flowing out slightly in the wind. She was at the party last night. I walked up the street and when I walked by her, she pulled at my arm.

"Brian...isn't it?"

Part of me wanted to say 'no' and walk on, but another part of me wanted to see what this girl had to say.

"Yes." I replied. Fleur could wait for one minute.

She smiled. "I'm Brianne. I think.... Last night I was talking to your friend... Is it Fleur?
