CHAPTER TEN - The Room

Austin

Brian and I walked into the dining hall and sat on one of the wooden benches.

"Do you think we will find Luke today?" I asked Brian.

"Maybe." Brian said, looking at his watch.

It was six in the morning, we had to get up at six everyday and we only got a slice of bread and a glass of water for breakfast.

"They are five minutes late" Brian mumbled.

Khloe shuffled into the room silently, taking a seat next to Brian.

"Hey guys." she said.

Brian gave her a smile and a nod then started to fiddle with his watch.

"Where are the others?" I asked.

"Fleur and Nadine are getting changed, and Justin is being woken up by Maria and Rico." She said, taking a bite out of the bread.

Fleur opened the door for Nadine. She looked so different, her hair was curly from where she hadn't straightened it. Her face was pale because she had no makeup on, and it was also one of the only times that Nadine had worn sweats.

"Nadine, get some food in you, it will do you good." Fleur said, helping Nadine into a chair.

Nadine took a sip of water, not looking at me. She knew that I would ask her loads of questions and care for her too much, but I only did it because I loved her.

"Nadine, eat it please." Fleur whispered.

Nadine rolled her eyes. "If it makes you happy."

She picked up a slice of bread, turning her nose up. "It would taste better with butter, but oh well."

She then started to eat the bread, I quickly mouthed 'thankyou'. Fleur nodded.

"So where is Justin?" I asked again.

Justin

"Hurry up!" Maria shouted.

I threw a top on and smiled. "Ready, Maria lets go!"

I walked out of the dorm where Rico was waiting. He gripped my arm. He started to drag me down the corridor, opening the double doors to the canteen where Rico swung me to the ground. It's not like it hurt.

I stood up and walked over to the table where the others were.

"Sorry I am late" I groaned.

I looked at Nadine, she looked different. Her hair was curly for that first time, and she had no makeup on. She looked even more beautiful.

I looked down at my tray and screwed my nose up. "Is this all we get?"

"Fine, if it's not good enough for you then I will have it!" Maria snapped.

She needed to stop coming up behind me.

"Oh well, it was only a slice of bread. Probably tasted like crap." I muttered.

Then her fist hit my face. It didn't hurt, just stung for a moment.

"Don't slap him!" Nadine shouted.

She stood up and brought her hand up. We all knew what she was going to do, throw an ice block. Austin stood up slowly. Nadine took a sideways glance at Austin then she threw her hand down.

"Rico, take them to the room now!" Maria screamed.

Rico grabbed us and started to take us away. I quickly looked at Luke, at another bench. He smiled and carried on looking at Nadine.
