It has been two weeks since the Mewberty incident, and Star and I STILL aren't dating yet, but we're close. We've been spending more time with each other and getting to know each other better. For instance, Star's middle name is Aurora! Who would've guessed that!? Anyway, It was a normal Friday evening, and class was super boring. That wasn't really a surprise. What was a surprise was who walked in the door. He had purple skin with red hair spiked up to look like fire. He had horns and three eyes with a special pair of sunglasses covering them. Fire was burning the floor at the soles of his feet. Suddenly, four small flames ignited at the bases of the legs of my desk, lifting me into the air. I watched the demon approach Star, who was sitting behind me.

"Hey, Star. I'm here to take you... to the Blood Moon Ball." He said in a suave voice. I bent my head and upper torso through the entrance to my desk to look at him upside down.

"Hi!" I said. I then lost my balance and fell out of my desk, face first onto the floor. I laid there for a second before getting up and dusting myself off. The bell rang and everyone headed for home, except for me, Star and the demon. Star started pushing the demon out the door, repeating the word "nope" the whole time. I followed close behind as she pushed him back to a demonic carriage that I assume he came here in on account of the flaming skeletal horse and pentagram on the door.

"...Nope-nope-nope-nope-nope. You need to leave right now. Take your carriage and fire and go back to the underworld." Star said, shoving him inside the carriage. She then took a piece of burning concrete and handed it to him. We turned to leave as Star suddenly levitated in the air.

"Oh, come on, Starship! It's the Blood Moon Ball! It only happens once every 667 years." He said, sweeping Star off her feet with fire. I crossed my arms and rolled my eyes. Star rolled out of his arms and onto the ground next to me.

"We broke up! Period!" She said. He ran over and grabbed her by the wrist.

"Wait, wait, wait, wait. Star, hang on. I'm a changed man, okay? I've got a life coach, a happy bunny. And, and I have been anger-free for 53 days." He said, pulling his jacket back to reveal a pin that read "53 DAYS ANGER FREE."   I stepped in front of Star.

"Okay, time! Timeout! Star, is this that Tom guy you were telling me about?" I asked. Star nodded. She had told me stories of Tom: how he got angry if the slightest thing went wrong. I turned around and faced Tom, reaching out my hand.

"Nice to meet you, Tom! I'm Jacob, Star's best friend on Earth!" I said. I don't trust this guy for a second, but I have a plan. Tom grabbed my hand and shook it awkwardly.

"Nice to... meet you?" He said, confused. Suddenly, Tom's hand was severed from his arm. I looked down at it. It was still holding onto mine. I screamed like a schoolgirl as Marco stood up in front of me.

"Back off, demon!" He said, getting in a battle stance. Tom's eyes glowed red as he growled at Marco. I felt all my previous bravery slip away. Tom took several deep breaths and calmed down.

"That's why I got my support system. I'm good. Got the angries out!Everything is... Whew! Under control." He said. I pulled his hand off of mine and handed it back to him. It floated back onto his wrist and spun in place, reattaching itself. Star explained the situation to Marco.

"Star, never go with a predator to a second location." He said. I chuckled. Tom walked up to Star.

"Look, I can see you're mad. You think I'm a total jerk. I get it. But I have changed. Remember... I'm not the only one with horns." He said. Star smiled. I then pulled Tom aside.

"Okay yeah, I need to speak with Tom about something real quick give us a moment! Soooo... can I come with? I've never been to a big dance like this before and I won't get in your way if you want to do something with Star, I promise! Besides, I'll wear a mask or something." I said. Tom pondered it for a second.
