We emerged in Mewni at night time, the bodies of the Magical High Commision floating on a post. I tied them to the carriage and we took off again. They floated behind us, Hekapoo's black eyes haunting me forever. Suddenly, the warnicorn pulling our carriage we arrived in vanished into thin air, leaving us out of control.
"Oh, that's not good. I got this!" I yelled, climbing out the window past Star and using my sword to guide the carriage on our path. The carriage then turned into a cart, then a red wagon, and then nothing, causing me to roll head over feet over and over. When I finally stopped, I looked at my mask. The paint had been worn off in several places.
"Aw man! that's gonna take forever to fix!" I grumbled. Star grabbed the MHC balloons before they blew away.
"What... just happened?" I asked, confused. Moon sighed.
"It's as I feared. Toffee is draining the magic from the dimension." She said. I jumped back from shock.
"He WHAT!? Why, how, and how many different ways should we panic?" I replied. I got up and dusted myself off.
"It's okay. We're alright as long as we have this magical path to guide us." Moon said. I already know what's gonna happen. I stuck up three fingers, putting them down one by one. As soon as the last finger went down, the lights illuminating the path went out.
"How did you-" Moon asked. I cut her off.
"Law of comedy, your highness. You tempted fate and the universe screwed us over. (Sigh) Time to set up a base camp." I said, and with that, we headed into the clearing close by. Star gathered sticks for a fire as Moon tried to light it.
"Here, let me try." I said, pulling out my sword. I pointed it at the pile of sticks and thought of fire. I opened my eyes to see... a pile of sticks. Great. This magic fritz affects me too. Star pulled out her wand, aiming it at the sticks.
"My turn!" Star squeaked as her wand started to glow green. Okay, that can't be good. I tried to put her arm down.
"Star, maybe magic isn't the best of ideas right now." I said, trying to force her arm down. Moon came running over.
"Stop! It's corrupted!" She said. While they talked about Toffee and Glossaryck going missing, I used two of the sticks to make a small campfire. They turned to look at it.
"Man make fire! Man make light!" I said, imitating a caveman. Without warning, Moon stomped on my fire, putting it out.
"A thank you would have been appreciated." I said, kinda ticked. Moon shushed us, pointing to some of Ludo's rat minions.
"They appear to be just scouts." Moon quietly stated. I turned to look at Star, only to see her across from us. I tugged on Moon's sleeve, pointing to where Star was and where she is now.
"Mom! Jacob! Check it out!" Star whispered, pointing to her wand. Moon covered her mouth as the green energy returned.
"Sorry Moon, but I have to protect my precious butterfly." I said, jumping from the bushes, kicking one of the rats into the distance.
