Tonight is the full moon and I'm changing alone for the first time. I'm angry and hurt, I really just want to be alone so I headed out to the woods near the reservoir. The moon began to rise and I heard a splash in the water. I hadn't begun to change yet, I wanted to test my control. Derek only aggravated me these days so that anchor was gone. I looked out over the water as saw something strange in the moons reflection. I focused my eyes and saw a flicker of blonde hair. I closed my eyes and opened them again to make sure I was seeing correctly. I snuck closer to the edge and as I did a creature jumped from the water and did a flip in the air. Her blonde hair flipped around her as she dove back down and splashed her tail against the surface. Yes.. her tail.

A pain shot through me and my claws began to grow. I let out a growl that got the attention of the mysterious fish woman.

"Heather?" the voice asked. Oh god no! the pain brought me to my knees as she swam closer.

"Brianna.... get away," I snarled.

"No no, listen to me. listen to the sound of my voice. stay calm and listen to me," she said in a smooth voice. I focused in on her tone and calmed down immediately. My claws retracted and I felt better. Brianna and I stared at each other for the longest time.

"So... you have a fish tail...." I said.

"And you have claws...." she replied. I smiled slightly.

"And a tail too sometimes, I can actually turn into a real wolf.... can you turn into a fish or something?" I asked.

"Nope, just this." she sighed.

"And this is.... a mermaid?"

"I'm a siren, part harpie and part undine, types of sirens. Harpies are sneaky and can steal things easily and undines can control water," she informed me.

"So that's why you stole Isaac from me and then Aiden," I stated coldly.

"I didn't mean to, really, I'm sorry," she apologized.

"It's fine I guess, it wasn't your fault," i sighed. "So do you change like this every night?"

"No, I can change whenever I want to but full moons are mandatory," she answered.

"Oh okay, cool," I nodded. We talked throughout the night and she showed me some tricks. once the sun rose her tail changed back to legs.

"Come on nemo, let's dry you off before a bird comes and snatches you," I snickered. She formed a giant wave and splashed me with it, soaking me completely. "Rotten fish," I cursed. This may be the beginning to a very interesting friendship.
