"....To do it still...."
Those words stuck in my head more than the other words I spoke that night.
It was the way he looked at me.
Shawn Mendes the most popular kid in school. He's talented, smart, cute, and funny. All the girls practically fall at his knees.
When I gave my speech he looked at me with a face that made me want to hurl.
"Hey."
I looked up and saw Shawn
"Look I just wanted to say congrats on another year of full success. Your parents must be proud. I know mine are of me of course," he spoke
"What parents." I mumbled
"What did you say?"
"Look here, I don't really have parents they split up when I was young. Only one of them stayed around for my life. Don't you have to get to Stacey?" I questioned him I could hear the anger in my voice.
"I don't know what's your problem, but I came to congratulate you. Your jealous of Stacey, and she is my girlfriend, I get it but no need to get all sassy." He spit out.
"Jealous? Ha far from it my friend. Garrett and I are together and he loves me. I need to get home it's late. Goodnight." I spat out.
I got in my car and drove away. Shawn's expression was blank, blank like he couldn't believe anyone would say that to him.
I kinda felt a little bad the way I ditched him like that, but he was rude to me, or was it that I overreacted? Either way it has me thinking about it constantly, and I can't seem to not stop thinking about it.
