Chapter 5

Quinn's Pov

Veronica spent the night with me. We stayed up all night watching movies, eating ice cream, talking, and laughing.
By time morning was here I was over Garrett. What he was doing now I couldn't care at all.

"Good morning sleeping beauty." I teased Veronica.

"Why do you always get up so early?"

I answered,"If about 2 minutes before you got up is early I really don't know."

Veronica got up and found her something to eat from my pantry. She's been here so many times that she knows my house backwards and forwards.

"We should go to the state fair today." Suggested Veronica. "I mean it will be fun. Trust me you'll forget who Garrett even was by the end of the day."

We both walked upstairs to get ready for today's plans. I walked to my closet and grabbed some clothes. I threw them at Veronica, and she went to get changed.

I took out skinny jeans and a coral tank top with a cardigan to cover up.

I took out my white vans that had dirt splotches scattered on it.

Veronica walked out and did a twirl to show off her clothes.

I smiled at her letting her know she looked good. She walked over to me and hugged me. She seemed to think I was hurting from Garrett, but that's the thing I wasn't. Garrett meant nothing to me now it hurt in the heat of the moment, but I'm fine now.

We walked downstairs and sat on the couch. I looked in the mirror and decided I wasn't going to put any makeup on. What was use? I had no one to impress anymore, I usually put makeup on to look nice.

Veronica got up and grabbed the car keys to her car. She glanced over at me and moved her head signaling to say 'lets go'.
