Quinn's Pov

The whole car ride was silent. I looked out my window the whole car ride, watching as the buildings whizzed by.Then the car came to a complete stop. I looked around and realized we were here.

"Come on lets have fun." spoke Veronica.

I paid for our admission since Veronica has been doing everything else. When we walked in the music was blasting, people were laughing, and it was energetic. Suddenly I felt something pull my hand, and it was Veronica pulling me. She wanted to do everything from, knocking down milk jugs to photo booth. We both decided we were hungry so we stopped in the food court.

"You wanna know the best part about State fairs?" asked Veronica.

"what?"

"Funnel cake!" She practically shouted.

"You said that about cotton candy." I reminded her.

"well yea thats pretty good but Funnel cake is just ohhh good." She hummed.

"Your such a fat ass!"

"Only slightly" She joked.

That's what i love about our friendship, its just so pure. We could call each other anything and still get along so easily. The sun started to set and Veronica started to wiggle her eyebrows at me. We got up and walked towards the Ferris Wheel.

"You know people say that true love can be found on these things." She said.

I laughed, "uh since when do people say that?"

"I don't know."

We were in line it got short of people so Veronica and I got separated. I had to go with the person behind me. I started to get unsure at the moment. I started thinking this is a complete stranger behind me. I shuddered at the thought.

I boarded the ride and the person slid in next to me. I looked over to see who it was to find they were staring at me. My eyes widen at the person. I rolled my eyes at who he was. Shawn. Out of all the people in the world Shawn had to be here right now.

"This cant be coincidental Shawn." I said.

"Believe what you want but maybe destiny brought us together." He smiled.

His smile was actually kinda cute. It wasn't this big goofy smile, but it wasn't this small shy smile. It showed a little bit of his teeth and complimented the way his eyes looked at me. His eyes were a beautiful brown color than went nice with his complexion. I thought for a breif moment there I was falling for him. I snapped out of my little fantasy world.

The ride started and I caught Shawn looking at me.

"What?"

He spoke up, "Oh nothing its that I forget how you looked since school. You know your pretty."

I blushed, "Thanks but arent you and Stacey a 'thing'?"

"Nah we broke up. We both thought it was better for us. How about you and your guy friend?" He asked.

Why did he want to know about Garrett? I thought maybe it was just conversation but I answered anyways. "I caught him sucking faces with another girl. So were done, and he moved away anyways so it didn't even matter." I answered.

"That's cruel. I would never do that to you." He spoke.

What did he mean by that. I started to panic a little bit right there. Then I noticed something happening he was leaning in towards me. I froze as my eyes widened in shock. I closed them hoping he would stop, but no. He pecked my lips and I leaned in joining the kiss. When he pulled back I sat there in total shock. I looked away so I didn't have to look at him.

I hate to admit it but that kiss was amazing. When I felt his soft lips on mine a million sparks flew through the air, sending a ecstatic waves in and all around us. The ride ended and Shawn scooted out. I followed him and found Veronica we began to walk out. I felt someones hand on my shoulder turning me around to face them.

"Listen I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that. It was just I..I. I felt something there." He blushed.

"Its fine, but I hardly know you so it I don't know if it would work anyway," I said advoiding eye contact.

He replied with simple 'OK' and left. I regretted what I said after he left, and I felt bad for him.

"Shawn? Whats he doing here?" Asked Veronica she sounded as surprised as me.

"Its a long story," I sighed.
