Chapter 7

Veronica's Pov

"Its a long story.'

I went to the drivers seat and buckled myself in. I was thinking to myself what was the long story. I was going to ask her in the car, but I thought it would be better for her to tell me in her own comfort. When she is ready that's when I'll be ready. I looked at her face, and Quinn was always good at keeping a straight face during any situation. I remember When we were younger her mother would always try to see if she was lying, but couldn't because of her poker face.

I started to smile thinking of all the things we could get away with because she was so good at lying.

Then I started to see something in her face. She looked worried, but why would she be worried. I saw her open her mouth, but closed it. As if she was trying to say something.

"I'm here okay and we will talk when your ready to talk." I spoke. I was always here for her, and she knew it.

I wanted to break to silence, but at the same time a part of me couldn't. I pulled into the driveway and started to unbuckle myself. I felt Quinn's hand on mine. I looked at her with a confused and concerned look.

"I don't want to go in. Lets talk here right now." She smiled. I nodded ok at her.

"When we were at the Ferris wheel and you went before me I had to go with the person behind me. Well that person turned out to be Shawn." She said in one big breath. I gave her a look that was saying go on.

"We started talking and it was nice. He told me that him and Stacey broke up and he asked about Garrett and I. I told him that he cheated on me. Then he said that it was cruel and he would never to that to me. I started thinking about what he said and then he kissed me. I should have pulled out, but instead I closed my eyes and froze. The worse part of it is I think I might actually like him." She said.

All I had to say was, "Whoa, heavy." Honestly it was crappy choice of words, but I was speechless. Quinn was actually falling for Shawn. "Do you want to talk to him?" I asked.

"You have his number?"

"Well, uhh yea we were Lab partners and the teacher made us exchange numbers so we could both work." I answered.

"Uh OK." She replied.

I was nervous for Quinn I didn't know what she was getting herself into. Shawn was popular and Quinn has herself set for her future. I know she is going to try and put school first before any relationship. All I know is Shawn likes attention. He goes with whatever life hands him, but he's understanding. There's another side to Shawn most people don't know.
